摘要： A process for producing a curable resin comprises reacting (a) at least one cyanate ester compound selected from the group consisting of polyfunctional cyanate esters having 2 or more cyanato groups per one molecule, prepolymers of the cyanate esters or mixtures thereof with (b) at least one compound having 1,2-epoxy group(s) and radical-polymerizable unsaturated double bond(s) in its molecule, the cyanate ester compound (a) and the compound (b) being used so that the ratio of the cyanato group to the 1,2-epoxy group is in the range of about 1:0.25 to about 1:2, in the presence of (c) a radical polymerization inhibitor at a temperature of about 90.degree.--about 140.degree. C.The curable resin produced according to the present invention is capable of giving cured products having excellent heat resistance and electrical properties.

摘要： In a four-way valve having a simple structure, even if a high-temperature refrigerant and a low-temperature refrigerant flow close to each other, heat loss between both refrigerants is suppressed. The valve comprises a housing member including a valve chamber, a valve seat including a bearing surface portion located in the valve chamber, a first channel through which a high-temperature fluid flows and a second channel through which a low-temperature fluid flows at a predetermined time, including openings adjacent to each other at a bearing surface portion of the valve seat, passing through the valve seat and extending outside of the valve chamber, and a valve element moving to the bearing surface portion of the valve seat. A thermal resistor portion suppressing heat transfer between these channels is located near the openings, between the first and second channels.

摘要： Functional devices using charge transfer complexes formed as a layer on a substrate. In one embodiment of the invention, the device comprises a substrate, an electrode layer formed on one side of the substrate, at least one layer of a charge transfer complex capable of undergoing a variation in charge transferability by application of external energy, and another electrode layer formed on the complex layer. The charge transfer complex consists essentially of an electron donor and an electron acceptor, at least one of which is an organic compound having a long-chain alkyl substituent. In another embodiment, a charge transfer complex layer is provided on a substrate as polarized in one direction, in which the charge transfer complex does not necessarily contain such a substituted donor or acceptor compound as in the first embodiment but ordinary charge transfer complexes may be used. A pair of electrodes may be provided to sandwich the complex layer therebetween.
