The bias signal generating circuit, the recording circuit, the playback circuit, the detecting circuit, and the control circuit cooperatively make up a servo loop for controlling the composite bias signal to have a given magnitude.

    • In an apparatus having an objective lens for projecting a light spot on a track of a disc-shaped record medium, the objective lens is driven in a tracking direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the objective lens and to a track tangential direction in accordance with a tracking error signal representing a deviation of the light spot from the track by means of a tracking control mechanism including first and second permanent magnets, first and second magnetic members connecting the same poles of the permanent magnets, a third magnetic member holding the objective lens and arranged movably in the tracking direction within a space surrounded by the first and second permanent magnets and first and second magnetic members, and first and second coils wound around the first and second magnetic members at middle portions thereof. A resonant vibration is dumped by providing a motional feedback loop in which a displacement of the third magnetic member is detected by a pair of magnetoelectro transducing elements secured to the first and second permanent magnets, respectively at middle portions thereof so as to detect change of magnetic fluxes leaked out of the third magnet member in opposite directions along the tracking direction.

    • In a system for driving automatically an objective lens into a desired focal position so as to form a focussed image on a film plane, in order to derive a driving signal for a driving motor moving the objective lens along its optical axis, an auxiliary lens is arranged movably along its optical axis, a moving coil and a position detecting coil are wound around a lens holder, magnets cooperating with the coils are arranged around the coils, and an array of photoelectric converting elements is arranged to receive a light flux transmitted through the auxiliary lens. The auxiliary lens is vibrated about a reference position by supplying a sinusoidal signal to the moving coil. An output signal from the array of photoelectric converting elements is supplied to a focus detection circuit to generate sampling pulses at such timings that the photoelectric converting elements receive the best focussed image. An output signal from the coil is supplied to a lens position detecting circuit to produce a lens position signal representing a deviation of the auxiliary lens with respect to the reference position. The lens position signal is sampled and held by the sampling signal to produce the driving signal for the motor.

    • A device for stably running a magnetic recording tape of a tape cassette comprises a reel shaft and a motor connected to the reel shaft. The reel shaft and the motor make a running of the magnetic recording tape providing back tension exerted on the magnetic recording tape. Within the housing of the tape cassette, a first lever having one end rotatably fixed to the housing is mounted. A guide roller for guiding the running direction of the tape is rotatably fixed to another end of the first lever. Therefore, the first lever may swing in response to a back tension exerted on the tape. An amount of the swing of the first lever is detected by a second lever which is rotably located out of the housing and selectably engaged with the first lever. The second lever is connected to the detection means which generates an electric signal in accordance with the amount of rotation of the second lever. The electric signal is sent to the electric controlling circuit means electrically connected to the motor. The electric controlling circuit means controls a value of the voltage supplied to the motor in accordance with the electric signal, and stabilize the value of the back tension exerted to the tape via the motor and the reel shaft.
