摘要： A developer collecting device includes a housing provided with an opening opposed to a developer carrying member, a collecting member provided along an edge of the opening at a downstream end of the opening in a transporting direction in which the developer carrying member transports the developer, a sealing member provided along an edge of the opening at an upstream end of the opening in the transporting direction, a suction path that extends along a longitudinal direction of the housing and that is connected to a suction unit for sucking the developer into the housing, a developer transporting unit that is provided between the opening and the suction path and that transports the developer collected in the housing, a filter member disposed between the developer transporting unit and the suction path, and a hood member disposed between the opening and the filter member and separated from the filter member.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image carrying body on which a toner image is created. A sheet carrying/transporting rotational body adsorbs a recording sheet to which the toner image on the image carrying body is transferred, and transports the sheet. The recording sheet is detached after transfer from the sheet carrying/transporting rotating body, and an assisting device thrusts against the non-image area of the recording sheet to limit its detachment from the sheet carrying/transporting rotating body. The image forming device can prevent transportation failure and image smudging that is otherwise generated when a thick sheet provided with a curl before it is adsorbed to a sheet carrying/transporting rotational body is detached in the curved state from the rotational body and transported to a fusing means.

摘要： A magnetically anistropic R-T-B magnet having crystal grains having aspect ratios of 2 or more and showing a substantially uniform maximum energy product distribution is produced by (a) rapidly quenching an alloy melt; (b) finely pulverizing the rapidly quenched alloy to provide magnetic powder; (c) mixing the magnetic powder with a carbon-containing additive; (d) coating the resulting mixture with a protective layer of a first lubricant such as BN substantially unreactive with the alloy components; (e) compressing it; (f) further coating the resulting compressed body with a second lubricant such as graphite or graphite+glass; and (g) further compressing it.
