    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly freshness discrimination apparatus, a refrigerator provided with the same, and a freshness discrimination method for enabling user to easily and visually discriminate the freshness of foods without using an ultraviolet lamp, which is hazardous to environments and human bodies, and reducing costs.
      SOLUTION: Ultraviolet rays (ultraviolet rays of the UV-A region) for exciting self-fluorescence of foods are irradiated from an LED 52, and color development of the irradiated foods is seen through a bluish window 48 for colorimetry. On the basis of colors of the seen-through foods, their freshness is discriminated. Then ultraviolet rays (ultraviolet rays of the UV-A region) for exciting self fluorescent of foods are irradiated from the LED 52, and their color development is photographed by a camera 70. By comparing reference data acquired by converting color development images by previously photographed self-fluorescence of the foods to be a reference into numerical values with measured data acquired by converting color development images by self-fluorescence of the foods photographed by the camera 70 into numerical values, the freshness of the foods is discriminated.

The active oxygen 13 enables sterilization and prevention of microorganisms adhering to the eggs 11 so as to keep them fresh.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preserve a food while suppressing degradation by making a switch to a storage compartment of temperature zone above the maximum ice crystal generation zone and above the freezing temperature zone, i.e., a new temperature zone freezing compartment, thereby prolonging the preservation period of food as compared with an ice box. SOLUTION: Chill is supplied through a new temperature zone freezing compartment air duct to a new temperature zone freezing compartment. A temperature detecting thermistor (temperature detecting means) is disposed in the new temperature zone freezing compartment. When the temperature detecting thermistor exceeds a specified temperature, a chill outlet is opened by opening a damper and temperature in the new temperature zone freezing compartment is regulated by supplying chill. Since foods in the new temperature zone freezing compartment are preserved in a temperature zone from -5 deg.C to -10 deg.C, for example, the foods are not frozen hard as in case of freezing compartment but frozen soft enough to be cut by means of a kitchen knife or a hand. Furthermore, foods can be preserved for a week or longer under better conditions as compared with an ice box.

On the other hand, a cold air supplying duct for side surface is extended to the vicinity of the refrigerator door whereby the cold air can be supplied from a cooler chamber into a cold air supplying duct for side surface and the cold air supplying duct 30 for door whereby the new provision of a cold air communicating duct for side surface is not necessitated and the number of parts can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION:A lead switch 45 is mounted on the rear surface of a lower frame 8 in the innermost wall at the center of a recess 12 of a creamer body 6 to detect the coupling position deviation of a driven clutch 36 of an agitating fan 32 from a movable clutch 19. A magnet 46 is mounted at the folding part of the central opening of a cover 41 for supporting the fan 32. The magnet 46 and the switch 45 are mounted at opposed positions. When the cover 41 is engaged from the front side with the recess 12 formed on the body 6, the clutch 19 is disposed at a position to be engaged with the clutch 36, and the switch 45 is turned ON. Accordingly, ice cream of high quality is obtained without failure of starting the creamer while the coupling of the clutches are incomplete.

CONSTITUTION:The chilled air feeding hole 12c of a shutter 12 and the chilled air feeding hole 11a of a cover 11 are opened or closed. The shutter 12 is moved to move a connector and a slide 11c by a claw 12a. The claw 12a and the connector 11c also have a function of sliding the shutter 12. Similarly, a pawl 12b and a connector 11e have functions of connecting and sliding the shutter 12. Since the sliding width of the shutter 12 is restricted by the cutout width of the slide and the connector 11c in a narrow range, it is scarcely affected by the influence of the irregularity in the size of components such as the cover 11, the shutter 12 to completely open or close the feeding holes upon opening or closing of the holes, thereby controlling its temperature.
