    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To investigate a buried object over a wide range by disposing a receiving antenna on an antenna case while disposing a pair of transmission antennas in the directions of electric field and magnetic field of a peripheral antenna and distributing the transmission output by means of a distributor. SOLUTION: A receiving antenna 5 is disposed in the center of an antenna case 17 and two transmission antennas 1, 3 and 2, 4 are disposed, respectively, in the directions of electric field and magnetic field of a peripheral antenna. The antennas 1-4 are fed with transmission pulses from a radar display 10 through a distributor 6 and an incorporated amplifier 29. A transmission wave radiated into the ground and reflected on a buried object is received by the antenna 5 and delivered through the radar display 10 and an A/D converter 11 to a personal computer 12 where it is displayed. The case 17 is turned, along with the antennas 1-4, about the fixing base 16 thereof by means of a motor cylinder 7 and the plane of polarization of the antenna can be altered. A truck is scanned in the direction of magnetic field and the case 17 turned by means of the cylinder 7. According to the arrangement, direction of the buried object can be matched with the plane of polarization of the antenna and a highly accurate investigation can be realized.

CONSTITUTION:There are provided a transmitting part 52 which outputs a pulse, a damper circuit 3 which receives the output of the transmitting part and outputs a signal to restrain ringing, a transmitting antenna 53 which receives the output of the damper circuit and sends an electric wave to the underground, a receiving antenna 55 which receives a reflected wave from an object of the underground, a receiving part 54 which receives the output of the receiving antenna, and a body control part 2. The body control part 2 is connected with the transmitting part, the receiving part, and the damper circuit, sends a transmission command to the transmitting part 52, receives a reflection signal from the receiving part 54, and calculates and displays the depth of the object from a time difference between the transmission command and the reflection signal, and the adjustment amount of the damper circuit. Besides, the ringing amount of the reflected wave at this time is judged to be controlled so that the adjustment amount of the damper circuit may become smaller. It is thus possible to carry out accurate survey.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easy pressure control within a lublicant chamber between a plurality of seal members provided over the sides of main body and cutter head to improve water stop efficiency. SOLUTION: A cutter head is provided at a front of a main body 2 so as to be rotatable. Pre-stage and post-stage earth/sand seal 11, 12 are provided over the fixed side of the main body 2 and the rotation side 15 of the cutter head to form a lublicant chamber 21 to which a hydraulic pressure tank 23 is connected through a lublicant pipe 22 to which an electromagnetic relief valve 26, accumulator 28 and pressure generator 25 are provided. Pressure in the chamber 21 is controlled by controlling operation of the valve 26 and the accumulator 28 according to the measurement pressure by the pressure genererator 25 to thereby make easy pressure control in the chamber 21 and set and keep the pressure in the chamber 21 to a specified level. Water stop pressure is dispersed with the seal 11, 12 to improve water stop efficiency, which makes possible coping with high water pressure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of pipes by providing a hollow section arranged with hydraulic pipes in a support shaft supporting a roller cutter at the front section of a cutter head. SOLUTION: A notch section 31 is formed on a hollow cutter spoke 13 provided on the front face of a cutter head 12, and fitting bases 32a, 32b are fixed. A support shaft 33 having a hollow section 34 is fixed to the fitting bases 32a, 32b, and a roller cutter 15 is fitted via a bearing 35. Hydraulic pipes P1 , P2 arranged in the cutter spoke 13 are connected to a copy cutter drive hydraulic jack through the hollow section 34. Cables are arranged in the hollow section of another cutter spoke and a spindle, and cables are connected to an earth pressure gauge fitted to the cutter head 12. The pipes and cables can be prevented from being kept in contact with the roller cutter 15 and excavated sediment and being damaged during an excavation, the cutter spoke 13 can be suppressed from being enlarged, and the roller cutter 15, spindle 33, and bearing 35 can be enlarged to increase the excavating capability.
