    • The present invention relates to a broadband wireless access system comprising a relay station, and more particularly, to a structure of a relay medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) which can be used in data transmission between a base station and the relay station, to a data transmission scheme using the structure, and to an apparatus for performing the scheme. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method in which a base station (ABS) transmits data on a plurality of mobile stations (AMSs) to a relay station (ARS) in a broadband wireless access system, comprises: a step of generating second transmission unit data using a plurality of first transmission unit data oriented toward the plurality of mobile stations and using mobile station identifier information for indicating mobile stations to which each of the plurality of first transmission unit data is to be transmitted; and a step of transmitting the second transmission unit data to the relay station. Here, the second transmission unit data includes: a header containing a connection identifier between the base station and the relay station; and an extension header containing the mobile station identifier information.
