    • Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) having such crystallization properties as to produce small spheralite sizes without sacrificing properties, processability, purity, etc. comprises 99.5-96 wt. % of vinylidene fluoride and 0.5-4 wt. % of a comonomer selected from the group consisting of hexafluoropropylene, tetrafluoroethylene and mixtures thereof, has a logarithmic viscosity of 0.9-1.3 dl/g and a molecular weight distribution, as expressed by the ratio of weight average molecular weight to number average molecular weight, of 2.2-2.8. The PVDF is formed by suspension polymerizing vinylidene fluoride and 1-5 wt. % of the desired comonomer, in an aqueous medium in the presence of an oil-soluble initiator, so that a logarithmic viscosity [.eta..sub.1 ] of 1.3-1.9 dl/g is obtained at a vinylidene fluoride conversion of 10-50%; then adding a chain transfer agent to the medium and continuing polymerization so that the logarithmic viscosity [.eta..sub.2 ] of the final polymer is 0.3-0.7 dl/g lower than [.eta..sub.1 ] but remains in the range of 0.9-1.3 dl/g.

    • In a jet loom in which weft yarns are stored in weft yarn storing units according to a weaving command, and are jetted in the weft insertion cycles thereof, a device for controlling the storing unit comprises: rotation detecting means for detecting the rotational condition of the loom spindle, to output a spindle rotation signal; a rotation control circuit which, according to a weft yarn jetting order, calculates the number of standby cycles between weft insertion cycles, and calculates the speeds of rotation of the storing units to store weft yarns in advance according to the numbers of standby cycle, to output rotation command signals; a drive circuit for receiving the spindle rotation signal and the rotation command signal, to output drives signal to determine the speeds of rotation of the storing units; and drive means provided for the storing unit, each receiving the drive signal to drive the storing unit at a speed of rotation corresponding to the drive signal thus received, a weft yarn as long as a predetermined weft insertion length being stored in the storing units in the weft insertion cycles selected according to the weft yarn jetting order.

    • A digital video signal reproducing apparatus comprises a reproducing circuit for reproducing a digital video signal from a recording medium, where the recording medium is time-sequentially recorded with the digital video signal having a signal format in which a header signal is added to each of divided picture element data groups which are obtained by dividing a picture element data group in terms of a predetermined unit, the picture element data group is obtained by subjecting an analog video signal to a digital pulse modulation at a sampling frequency such that a product of a number of picture element data in one scanning line and an effective number of scanning lines in one picture of a standard television system is exceedingly close to 2.sup.18 but less than 2.sup.18, and the header signal at least comprises a synchronizing signal and a picture mode identification code, a header signal reproducing circuit for discriminating the header signal within the digital video signal reproduced by the reproducing circuit and reproducing the header signal, two memory circuits into which the picture element data group within said reproduced digital video signal is written and from which a stored picture element data group is read out, a circuit for controlling write-in and read-out with respect to the two memory circuits according to a code in the reproduced header signal, and a circuit for producing an analog video signal in accordance with a standard television system from the picture element data read out from the two memory circuits.
