    • A network relay apparatus relays data accompanied by additional information among plural networks through input ports and output ports. In the apparatus, a deciding unit decides, from the output ports, an objective output port to which the data inputted via any one of the input ports is to be inputted, on the basis of the additional information of the data inputted. An output unit outputs the inputted data through the decided objective output port. A producing unit produces diagnostic data to which the additional information including information indicating the decided objective output port is added, and a providing unit provides the deciding unit with the produced diagnostic data. Further, a fault diagnostic unit is provided to determine whether a fault has occurred in the network relay apparatus on the basis of information concerning the diagnostic data and the decided objective output port.

    • In an electronic control apparatus for vehicles, there is provided a main microcomputer activated when a given activation condition is met and a sub-microcomputer to which a power control signal controlling power supply to the sub-microcomputer is supplied. A first power supply unit supplies, via a first supply line, power supply voltage to the main microcomputer for activation, and a second power supply unit supplies, via a second supply line different from the first supply line, power supply voltage to the sub-microcomputer for activation when the sub-microcomputer receives the power control signal. The main microcomputer determines whether or not the sub-microcomputer should be made to operate and performs a switchover between output and non-output of the power control signal to the second power supply unit based on the determined results, whereby the power supply to the sub-microcomputer is controlled.

    • A process for separating cyclohexanol and other impurities from a mixture containing cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol is disclosed. In this process a mixture of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol are introduced into a first distillation column from which low-boiling components are distilled; the bottoms of the first distillation column are then fed to a second distillation column from which cyclohexanone is distilled; the bottoms of the second distillation column are fed to a third distillation column from which cyclohexanol and other impurities are removed; and the distillate of the third distillation column is then circulated into the first distillation column via a dehydrogenation zone; wherein the pressures at the tops of the first, second, and third distillation columns are maintained at 20 to 400 Torr; part of the bottoms of the second distillation column is supplied to a fourth distillation column having a pressure at the top of 500 to 2,500 Torr, and from which low-boiling components are removed; the distillate of the fourth distillation column is circulated into either the first distillation column, the second distillation column, the third distillation column or the dehydrogenation zone; and the bottoms of the third and fourth distillation columns are not circulated.
