摘要： The present invention is a gas absorption device arranged in a liquid container storing a liquid fed to a liquid consumption apparatus. The device includes a decompressed container having an opening and a flexible film sealing the opening in the state that the decompressed container is internally decompressed. At least a part of a portion having an inner surface which receives the decompressed pressure in the decompressed container and an outer surface which is in contact with the liquid in the liquid container is formed by a gas permeable material through which gas dissolved in the liquid in the liquid container can permeate. According to the present invention, gas dissolved in the liquid stored in the liquid container can be absorbed using a decompressed space and the existence of a decompressed status necessary to absorb gas can be easily examined.

An ink cartridge as a liquid container includes a plurality of ink packs and a container case for storing the ink packs. Each ink pack includes an ink outlet member having an ink supply port, which is mounted on a bag part. The container case has a substantially box-shaped case body part and a lid case covering an opening. In the ink cartridge, the ink packs are inclined at an angle of q to the container case, and the ink packs are accommodated in the state of overlapping a part of the adjacent ink pack.

The inclined interface 13 is permeated along the path P with the projected light from the light-emitting part 101 when the remaining content is present and reflects the projected light from the light-emitting part 101 in a direction out of the path P when the remaining content is absent.

摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus wherein a sub-tank mounted on a carriage is replenished with ink from an ink cartridge as a main tank by the action of pressurized air from an air pressurizing pump. The ink jet recording apparatus is provided with means for opening an air flow passage from the air pressurizing pump to the ink cartridge into the atmosphere as a cover member of a cartridge holder is opened when the ink cartridge is attached or detached. The recording apparatus has an on-off valve unit for maintaining pressure on the air flow passage in a predetermined range and drive means capable of forcibly opening the on-off valve unit for releasing a pressurization state, for example, when the operation power of the recording apparatus stops. The recording apparatus further includes a diaphragm displaced upon reception of air pressure on the air flow passage and output generation means for generating a control signal based on the displacement amount of the diaphragm, and driving the air pressurizing pump is controlled by the control signal generated by the output generation means.

摘要： An ink cartridge in which on one surface of a cartridge case, there are provided a positioning means used in case that the ink cartridge is attached to a recording apparatus, an ink outlet port from an ink pack, an inlet port of the pressurized air and a connection terminal of a circuit board having a data storage means that stores ink information of the cartridge therein, and an ink jet recording apparatus provided with its ink cartridge are provided.According to the ink cartridge of this mode, since the cartridge is exactly positioned and fixed to a holder three-dimentionally by the positioning means, mechanical positional adjustment and electrical connection can be exactly performed, so that operation reliability of the recording apparatus can be improved. Further, in the recording apparatus of this mode, in a state where the cartridge has been mounted on the recording apparatus by the positioning means, the connection terminal of the board is located at the upper portion of the ink outlet port. Hereby, even if ink leaks from the ink outlet port, the connection terminal can be prevented from being stained with the ink.
