摘要： In a flexible manufacturing system for assembling various types of vehicle bodies, there is employed a work piece carrier on which a work piece positioning device is mounted. The work piece positioning device has a plurality of position changeable work piece holders which are grouped into a plurality of groups each having its own power input device. When the carrier comes to a type switching stage together with the work piece positioning device, a power source installed in the type switching stage is brought into connection with the power input device of one of the groups thereby to changing the positions of the corresponding work piece holders. Then, the power source is brought into connection with the other power input device of the other group to change the positions of the corresponding work piece holders.

摘要： A rotary magnetic head apparatus for use in a VTR and producing a low level of vibration by restraining the unbalance of an overall rotary body of the magnetic head apparatus. The apparatus includes a fixed cylinder for supporting a rotary shaft via bearings, a rotary cylinder secured to one end of the rotary shaft and having magnetic heads, and a motor rotor directly coupled with the other end of the rotary shaft. At least one first balancer and at least one second balancer are respectively provided in the rotary cylinder and the rotor so as to compensate for the unbalance of the rotary body composed of the rotary cylinder, the rotary shaft, and the rotor.

摘要： In a disk drive device having multiple disks on a spindle, one of the disks is written with a servo pattern prior to assembly of the servo disk with blank disks into the disk enclosure. The servo pattern consists of a first pattern arranged on each track center along one radial direction of the disk, and a second pattern arranged along the radial direction at each position corresponding to the position of each sector. Servo patterns on each of the disks, including the original servo disk are then written on each of the disks based on the original servo disk. If the disks, when assembled exhibit eccentricity, the second pattern will still be detected, permitting servo writing without complex equipment.

摘要： A chuck mechanism for a dental handpiece holds a columnar rotary tool for dental care rotatably with an annular rotor of the dental handpiece. The columnar rotor tool is concentrically detachable to the annular rotor which is rotatably attached to a head part of the dental handpiece. The chuck mechanism has an annular chucking member with a cylindrical base part into which the annular rotor is integrally fitted and an elastic chucking piece having a chucking pawl for engaging with a locking groove formed at a base end of the rotary tool. The chuck mechanism enables the rotary tool to be easily removed from the annular rotor by elastically deforming the elastic chucking piece against elastic force of the elastic chucking piece to disengage the chucking pawl from the locking groove.

The light receiving device receives light reflected from the food item when the near-infrared rays at the specific wavelength are radiated to the food item. A control unit calculates calories of the food item in accordance with measurement values of absorbances of the near-infrared rays at the specific wavelength region which are received by the light reception unit.
