摘要： A gas blast circuit breaker comprises an insulation nozzle for blowing extinguishing gas to an arc generated between a stationary contact and a movable contact. The nozzle has a throat section into and out of which one of the two contacts is movable and a divergent section provided downstream of the throat section. A slanting surface for increasing a reflectivity of energy intensity of the arc is formed on the divergent section of the nozzle. The nozzle is formed of a fluoroplastic material and boron nitride powder not more than 15 vol.% added as a filler.

摘要： A switching mechanism for use e.g. in a circuit breaker of an underground electric substation has a movable rod (10a) which causes opening and closing of an electrical contact (5, 6) and a hydraulic operating system (9, 11, 12, 13, 14). The hydraulic operating system (9, 11, 12, 13, 14) uses a hydraulic fluid which has a high flammability temperature or is incombustible. Thus, even if such fluid leaks from the hydraulic operating system (9, 11, 12, 13, 14), the risk of fire or explosion is minimised. The hydraulic operating system (9, 11, 12, 13, 14) may have a sealed tank (15) for the fluid, preferably with a variable volume expansion chamber (24). In a further development, the hydraulic operating system (9, 11, 12, 13, 14), and possibly parts of the movable rod (10a), is enclosed in a casing (39, 44) which is sealed and is filled with a gas which does not support combustion therein. Thus, the risk of fire or explosion is further reduced. The casing (39) may have a variable volume expansion chamber (51).

摘要： A vacuum switch apparatus has an electrically insulating vacuum enclosure (1) which is evacuated to a vacuum degree of 2 x 10 Torr or less. One set of anode (3) and cathode (5) electrodes is arranged in the vacuum enclosure, having capacity which permits the flow of a discharge current of at least 1 KA therebetween and being operable to switch the discharge current at least 10 shots. A high voltage power supply (18, 22) applies a high voltage of at least 20 KV across the anode and cathode electrodes. An electron beam irradiation unit (4, 7, 8) irradiates an electron beam (10) on the anode electrode through the cathode electrode. A control electrode (6) is arranged between the beam irradiation unit and the cathode electrode, for controlling passage and interception of the electron beam. A control voltage power supply (13, 13A, 13B, 13C, 14, 14B) applies a control voltage to the control electrode. An electromagnetic coil (5) is arranged at least exteriorly of the vacuum enclosure, for generating electromagnetic force which prevents the electron beam, emitted from the electron beam irradiation unit and reaching the anode electrode through the control and cathode electrodes, from being scattered.
