    • An apparatus, method, and computer-readable medium for selectively performing, in parallel structures, different functions on an input image, sound data or other correlated data. An input is configured to receive the input data. There are at least two circuits, each circuit is coupled to the input and each circuit is configured to perform a different function on the input data. A motion-detection circuit is coupled to the input and each of the at least two circuits. The motion-detection circuit is configured to determine a level of change in the input data and generate an output of motion data. The motion data is used by each of the at least two circuits to perform its corresponding function. A select device is coupled to each of the at least two circuits and a control input. The select device is configured to select as output data, the output of one of the at least two circuits based upon the control input. The different functions performed on the input data may be selected from the group consisting of recovering erroneous data contained in the input data, interpolating the input data, and reducing the noise level of the input data.

    • An image data processing method includes selecting a motion compensating vector of a noticed region based on additional information added to student data. The image data processing method also includes classifying the noticed region into one of a plurality of classes based on the motion compensating vector selected by the selecting. In addition, the image data processing method includes constructing a prediction tap of the noticed region based on the motion compensating vector selected by the selecting and learning a prediction coefficient based on the one of the plurality of classes using teacher data corresponding to the constructed prediction tap. The image data processing method additionally includes producing prediction coefficient data for each class, based on the prediction coefficient. The image data processing method further includes storing the prediction coefficient data in a coefficient memory based on a quantization scale and a bit rate.

    • The present invention relates to a data processing apparatus capable of obtaining high-quality sound, etc. A tap generation section 121 generate a prediction tap from synthesized speech data for 40 samples in a subframe of subject data of interest within the synthesized speech data such that speech coded data coded by a CELP method, and synthesized speech data in which a position in the past from a subject subframe by a lag indicated by an L code located in that subject subframe is a starting point.
