摘要： A closure mechanism for a reclosable pouch includes a female profile having first and second legs extending from a first base of a first closure element and a sealing flange attached to each of the first and second legs. A slit is disposed through the sealing flange to define a first sealing flap that depends from the first leg and a second sealing flap that depends from the second leg. A male profile extends from a second base of a second closure element. The male profile is adapted to engage a portion of at least one of the first and second sealing flaps to form a seal therebetween when the male and the female profiles are occluded. Further, a surface of the second base is configured to engage at least one of the first and second sealing flaps to form a seal therebetween when the male and the female profiles are occluded.

摘要： A pouch has an airtight elongate closure mechanism adapted to provide vacuum retention within an interior of the pouch over an extended period of time when sealed. The closure mechanism includes a first pair of interlocking members that resealably mate together, a second pair of interlocking members that resealably mate together, and sealing members that form an air tight seal disposed between the first and second pairs of interlocking members. The closure elements may be connected with opposing sidewalls of the pouch in a manner designed to provide differential opening and closing forces. The pouch may also include a check valve and air evacuation channels to aid in evacuating air from the interior.

摘要： A container comprises a sealed cavity defined by first and second walls of the container and a coolant disposed within the cavity wherein the coolant is capable of assuming first and second phases. A portion of the first wall is joined to the second wall wherein the portion includes an off-center opening. The portion is rupturable to limit pressure in the sealed cavity. The container further comprises a container rim and a lid having both an outer channel and a tab. The outer channel receives the container rim. The outer channel defines a first width. The tab has a second width substantially equal to the first width. When the coolant in the cavity is in the first phase there is a first interference fit of the channel with the container rim. When the coolant is in the second phase, there is a second interference fit, different than the first interference fit, between the container rim and the outer channel of the lid. A method of manufacture of such a container and lid is also disclosed.

摘要： A pouch with a valve includes first and second pouch sidewalls sealed to one another to define an opening. A resealable closure mechanism is attached to inner surfaces of the first and second sidewalls proximate the opening to define a pouch interior opposite the opening. A channel extends from the interior to the opening between a section of the first closure element and the first sidewall. A pleated thermoplastic member is sealingly disposed in the channel and has an aperture disposed through the member. A fluid path may provide direct fluid communication between the interior and an exterior of the pouch, wherein the fluid path passes through an edge of the pouch defined by at least one of the first or second pouch sidewalls. A valve is sealingly disposed in the fluid path, wherein the valve comprises a pleated thermoplastic member attached to at least one of the first or second pouch sidewalls and having an aperture disposed through the pleated thermoplastic member to provide fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of the pouch.
