      SOLUTION: An image, which has a specular glossiness of 60 or more and generates an arbitrary interference color resulting from that a light reflected on the surface of a clear ink layer and a light which passes through the clear ink layer and is reflected on the surface of a recording medium generate interference, is recorded by applying a clear ink on the recording medium to form the clear layer which has a thickness of 80-600 nm and does not substantially absorb light in the visible light range to allow the light to pass therethrough.

      SOLUTION: The inkjet recording pigment ink comprises at least water, a pigment, a vinyl resin obtained by copolymerization of a hydrophobic monomer with a hydrophilic monomer, and a urethane resin, wherein the urethane resin is lower in acid value than the vinyl resin; the urethane resin has a content of 25 mass% or more and 100 mass% or less relative to what the pigment does; and the suspended urethane resin being not adsorbed on the pigment has a content of 0.4 mass% or less relative to the whole ink amount.

      SOLUTION: The ink is obtained by dispersing a pigment in an aqueous medium with a dispersant, wherein an average particle diameter r(w) of the pigment measured after diluting the ink with pure water is ≤100 nm, and a ratio between the average particle diameter r(w) and an average particle diameter r(s) of the pigment measured after diluting the ink with a 0.1% aqueous solution of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 13-18 is within a range of 0.90≤r(w)/r(s)≤1.10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method, which aims at the improvement of the abrasion resistance of an image in the image formed with pigment ink on a coat paper having an ink accepting layer thereon and, at the same time, obtains a recorded image excellent in gloss, and an ink.
      SOLUTION: This inkjet recording method includes (1) a process for preparing an inkjet ink including multivalent metal ions, which can flocculate an anionic resin under the state of an inactive metal complex, (2) a process for printing the ink on a recording medium provided with the ink accepting layer thereon, (3) a process for depositing the pigment ink on the accepting layer as the ink penetrates the recording medium and (4) a process to release the multivalent metal ions from the metal complex in the ink accepting layer due to the release of the inactive state of the multivalent metal ions by an external cause so as to fix the pigment deposited on the ink accepting layer by the action of the released multivalent metal ions.
