    • A vehicle seating arrangement can comprise a fore-facing lower seating assembly, an aft-facing lower assembly, and an upper seating assembly positioned between the fore-facing and aft-facing lower assemblies. The lower and upper assemblies can be configured to form a 3-seat unit in which a portion of a seat of said fore-facing and aft-facing lower seat assemblies underlaps a portion of an upper seating assembly. At least one of the fore-facing and aft-facing lower assemblies can be angled with respect to the upper seating assembly to shorten the overall linear dimension of the 3-seat unit and provide egress areas for lower passengers to aisle access. A vertical member can be configured to attach to the upper seating assembly and to a ceiling structure to reduce the load on the floor.

    • In an example embodiment, a vehicle seating arrangement includes a fore-facing lower seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in a lower horizontal plane, an aft-facing lower seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in the lower horizontal plane, and a fore-facing upper seat positioned between the fore-facing lower seat and aft-facing lower seat, the fore-facing upper seat convertible between a sitting position and a lie flat sleeping position in an upper horizontal plane. The seats may be arranged so that portions of the fore-facing lower seat and aft-facing lower seat underlap the fore-facing upper seat when the seats are positioned in the lie-flat sleeping position.

    • Supplemental walk along control for walkie/rider pallet trucks is provided by supplemental controllers such as jog and coast release switches and/or twist grips (or other drive motor speed controllers) provided adjacent the base of load carrying forks. The supplemental controllers are enabled during coasting operation so that operators can advance to the base of the forks to accelerate the trucks between closely spaced picks located along substantially straight portions of pick routes. For application of the trucks' brakes, the operators activate the coast release switches to release the coast mode and enable deadman brake mechanisms to brake the trucks and/or by plug braking with the twist grips. A steering direction detector is provided to determine the direction of the steered wheel so that if the steered wheel is not directed substantially straight ahead, then operation of the truck from the supplemental controls is disabled.
