摘要： 2,5,6-trimethyl-cyclohex-2-en-1-one (I) is prepared by continuously pumping diethylketone (II), crotonaldehyde (III) and an aqueous strong base through a pressure vessel in such a fashion that the reaction temperature is 150-350 degrees C and the average residence time in the pressure vessel is only 0.1 seconds to 20 minutes. Preparation of 2,5,6-trimethyl-cyclohex-2-en-1-one (I) comprises reaction of (i) diethylketone (II) with (ii) crotonaldehyde (III) (or a compound which is converted to (III) under the selected reaction conditions), in the presence of basic agents, at elevated temperatures. Component (ii) (1 mol), component (i) (5-30 mol) and an aqueous solution or suspension of a strong base are pumped continuously, via separate supply points or in the form of a mixture, into an optionally heated pressure vessel which can guarantee intensive mixing. The components are pumped to the vessel in such a fashion that the reaction temperature is 150-350 degrees C and the average residence time in the pressure vessel is only 0.1 seconds to 20 minutes.

摘要： Packing elements which are subjected to low pressure losses and which are used in fractional distillation columns, have the same diameter as that of the column inner diameter, and a height of 40 to 300mm. The elements consist of dimensionally stable layers (2,3) with an ordered structure. They are made of cloth or cloth-like material with a specific surface of 2000m /m . The novelty is that: (a) the contacting, deformed layers of cloth or cloth-like material pref. metal cloth, are arranged to form a number of narrow flow ducts, pref. triangular, rectangular, square, or equilateral hexagonal flow ducts; (b) the angle of inclination (1) of the teeth in the individual cloth layers (2,3) of the packing towards the column axis is 0 to 25 degrees, pref. 3 to 14 degrees; (c) wires or thin rods (4) are mounted as required between th cloth layers (2,3), or the cloth layers (2,3) are rigidly connected at some points of contact, providing mechanical stability. Also claimed is a process for obtaining pure substances from mixtures by rectification using the packing elements described.

摘要： Veratryl cyanide is prepared by chloromethylating veratrol in solution in toluene and then reacting the resulting veratryl chloride with from 1 to 5 moles of an alkali metal cyanide, by a process in which the toluene from the chloromethylation is not removed for the reaction with cyanide, and from 3 to 25% by weight, based on veratryl chloride, of water, from 5 to 50% by weight, based on toluene, of a ketone of 3 to 6 carbon atoms and from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on veratryl chloride, of a phase transfer catalyst are added before the reaction with cyanide.
