摘要： In an ultrasonic probe including a storage portion formed with the coupling of a window and a frame for storing an ultrasonic device and an ultrasound propagation medium therein, the generation of a gap between the window and the frame due to a temperature change etc. can be suppressed. The ultrasonic probe includes an ultrasonic device (1) that transmits and receives ultrasound; a frame (4) that supports the ultrasonic device (1); a window (5) that is coupled with the frame (4) so as to surround the ultrasonic device (1); and an ultrasound propagation medium with which a space surrounded by the frame (4) and the window (5) is filled. The window (5) includes a resin portion (5b) having a property of letting ultrasound pass therethrough and a metal portion (5a), a part of the metal portion being embedded in an inside of the resin portion (5b) and another part being exposed to an outside of the resin portion (5b). The coupling of the window (5) and the frame (4) is implemented by coupling the part of the metal portion (5a) exposed to the outside of the resin portion (5b) with the frame (4).

摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide a dye material which can be employed in short-wavelength optical recording media, while being excellent in solubility to solvents. The dye material in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention contains a cyanine compound and an azo compound. The cyanine compound contains at least a trimethinecyanine compound in which an aromatic structure including two nitrogen-containing heterocyclic rings is combined to a trimethine group. At least one of the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic rings includes a benzyl group which may have a substituent, while at least one of them includes an organic group having a carbon number of 2 to 30 substituted by a nitrogen atom. The azo compound contains at least a chelate compound of a compound containing an azo group and a metal.

摘要： An optical recording disk comprising a grooved substrate, a dye-containing recording layer, and a reflective layer in close contact with the recording layer is recorded by directing recording light to the recording layer in the groove to form pits and reproduced by directing reproducing light to the pits. The substrate is formed of a cyclic olefin polymer. A photo-stabilized cyanine dye in the form of an indolenine cyanine dye cation-quencher anion ionic combination has relatively constant values of n and k with a variation in the wavelength of recording/reproducing light. Then the disk is resistant against light, heat and water to ensure satisfactory performance according to the CD standard.

摘要： A photoelectric conversion device capable of improving conversion efficiency is provided. The photoelectric conversion device includes a work electrode, an opposed electrode, and an electrolyte-containing layer. In the work electrode, a metal oxide semiconductor layer supporting a dye is provided. The dye contains a cyanine compound that has a methine chain, an indolenine skeleton bonded with both ends of the methine chain, and anchor groups introduced to a nitrogen atom included in the indolenine skeleton. Electron injection efficiency to the metal oxide semiconductor layer is improved, and the dye is hardly exfoliated from the metal oxide semiconductor layer.
