Ploughs; manuring; seeds, sowing.-In a rotarydisc plough, to which a seed and fertilizer box may be connected, the draught is applied to the disc standards, special means being provided for connecting the uiscs to the standards and the standards to the frame and draught-chain, and for raising and lowering the frame and limiting the movement of the back wheel. Fig. 1 shows a multiplefurrow plough in plan and Fig. 5 a detail in elevation and section. A hinged plate C is connected to the draught-chain G by the swinging bar D and pivoted lever E, and to the disc standards by drawbars H, H , H and chains H , H', as shown. The bar D is connected to the back of the frame by means of a rod W, and the lever E is free to swing vertically or horizontally. The standard F of the furrow-wheel B is adjustably connected with the draught-chain G by means of the rod F , perforated bar F , enlarged link G , and pin G , The open ends K of plate-metal tumblers K are fixed to spindles K by means of slots and wedges K , and the bent ends K to the disc standards J, Fig. 5, by means of plates L', L', and bolts L . The discs N are secured to the standards by bolts M which act as spindles. The discs rest against the collars M on the bolts, and washers M and covers M are bolted to them to keep out the dust. Oil-holes are provided in the covers M . The tops of the wheel standards F, F are connected to arms S on a rod S which is coupled to the crank axle P. The front frame is raised by partially rotating the axle P and rod S by means of the lever Q, which is connected with an arm P' and provided with a quadrant Q to hold it in place. The rear frame may be raised by similar mechanism. A stop collar is fixed on the standard of the back wheel B , which allows the wheel to turn inwardly but not outwardly.

摘要： A tidal rotating oyster shaper and cleaner apparatus has an outer frame, a containment cage supported by the outer frame, and a plurality of containers designed to hold oysters, the containers being located and maintained within the containment cage. A circular end member having outwardly extending teeth which circumscribes the end member, is mounted on each lateral end of the containment cage. At least one passive energy capturing pawl is configured to contact and engage the teeth, such that upon the introduction of a source of passive energy, the pawl is caused to rotate, This results in the rotation of the end members, the containment cage, and the containers, which thereby rotates the oysters within the containers. Continual rotation of the oysters serves to shape and clean the oysters.

摘要： A deheader valve is fitted onto an existing or new coke drum by initially positioning the body and valve, and then raising the valve to mate with the flange using a lifting device other than a chain fall. The vertical positioning of the deheader valve is preferably accomplished with a hydraulic or pneumatic piston, winch, scissor jack, ratchet jack, screw jack, and so forth. The distance traveled by the valve using these devices is more than 2 cm, commonly at least 20 cm, and in some installations up to 40 cm or more. In retrofit situations an oil inlet is provided in a side wall of the drum above the bottom drum flange.
