The weight W is equal to the sum of the floating plate 4 and the buoyancy of a polished article 12, and forms the working load for the polished article 12. In this state, the polished article 12 is immersed into the magnetic fluid 3 containing abrasive grains in the container 5, and the driving jig 1 is operated, and the polished article 12 is polishing-worked by the working load W, pressed onto the driving surface of the driving jig 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly start the operation of a step type machine for health by providing a rectifying and control circuit and a secondary battery, charging generated electricity and arranging a switch in an electric circuit without pass ing through the rectifying and control circuit. SOLUTION: When a pair of left and right step boards are arranged in a machine for health so as to be freely and alternately rocking possible, both feet are put on the pair of step boards for doing step exercises. Then a rocking motion is converted into a rotary motion via a connecting rod, a power generator 1 commonly used as an electric motor is operated and power is generated. Generated electricity is supplied to equipment to be used 13 via the rectifying and control circuit 12. Besides, a current flowing in the power generator 1 is controlled and the load of the generator 1, that is, the operation load of the machine for health is controlled. Generated power is charged in the secondary battery 16 as necessary. Then the switch 14 is closed when the operation of the machine is started so that the power generator 1 works as the electric motor by the power of the secondary battery 16. Thus, the operation of the machine 1 is easily started.

    • PURPOSE:To easily conduct a test in a short time by clamping a sphere to be tested so that the axis of rotation of a sphere holding shaft runs in the center of the sphere to be tested, and placing a load and further rotating the sphere. CONSTITUTION:The sphere 2 to be tested which is clamped between sphere support shafts 1a and 1b and is loaded between a driving roller 4 and a driven roller 7 rotates by receiving a frictional force by the rotation of the driving roller 4. Simultaneously, the driven roller 7 also rotates by receiving a frictional force from the sphere 2 to be tested. Thus, the sphere 2 to be tested rolls between the driving roller 4 and driven roller 7 and rolling friction increases at the equator part in contact with them. During this period, the sphere 2 to be tested and driven roller 7 follow up the friction to move toward the driving roller 4 by the load from a loading device 11 according to sphere holding base guide rods 9a and 9b and a guide means such as a ball slide unit, so that the sphere 2 to be tested is applied with an invariably constant load.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a ball unit of high sphericity while continuing a workpiece to be properly held and facilitated in its setting to a proper position by providing a movement preventing surface, which prevents the workpiece from moving in the radial direction of a driving lap, in a float in its upper end part. CONSTITUTION:While a spherical workpiece 3 is held is magnetic fluid 7, containing an abrasive grain, by a driving lap 1, float 5 receiving levitating force by a magnetic field formed by a magnet 6 and the internal peripheral surface of a guide ring 4, the workpiece 3 is polished by rotating the driving lap 1. Here the flat 5 forms in its upper end part a movement preventing surface 8 for preventing the workpiece 3 from moving in the axial direction of the driving lap 1. As a result, the workpiece 3 can be easily arranged along this movement preventing surface 8 in a peripheral edge part of the flat 5, and setting the driving lap 1 from the upper enabling the workpiece 3 to be surely held to a proper position, a ball unit of high sphericity can be obtained by preventing movement of the workpiece 3, when it is polished, by rotating the driving lap 1.
