摘要： 214,782. Smith, J. W. Feb. 27, 1923. Rolling discs.-In a process for rolling steel discs, such as those for vehicle wheels, a blank b which may be punched or cut from stock of uniform thickness is mounted on a rotary platen 1 with a surface 5 formed according to the taper required. The rolls 2 of conical form radiused at 4 into a narrow reducing section 3 of cylindrical form, are traversed axiallv outwards on guide bars 20 during rolling by a screw 25. The taper may be produced by feeding the rolls along a path inclined to the platen. The platen is provided with a ball bearing 10 and is adjusted to vary the thickness of the disc by an axially movable thrust bearing 11 with an indicator 15. In a modification the platen is replaced by conical rolls 30, Fig. 7, mounted in a housing 32 adjusted axially of the disc by a screwed and shouldered sleeve 34 that also forms a bearing for a central spindle 37 to which the blank is clamped at 40.

摘要： The present invention relates to the use of a dryer-added fabric softener composition, after a normal wash process, said composition having optimal characteristics for providing good coverage of fabrics that are treated, and optionally comprising at least one fabric softener component, for imparting fabric appearance benefits. The invention comprises the softener compositions in packages in association with instructions for their use in the dryer to provide protection for the fabrics, especially color care. Dryer-added fabric softener compositions containing chlorine scavenger to protect colored fabrics from chlorine in the next wash cycle are disclosed.
