    • An electronic device includes: an outline configuration including a first surface, a second surface facing opposite from the first surface, and a mounting surface coupled to the first and second surfaces; a first substrate including a first electrode; a second substrate including a second electrode; a resin disposed between the first and second substrates; and an electric element sealed with the resin and having an outline configuration of a polyhedron, the electric element being disposed such that a broadest surface of the polyhedron faces one of the first substrate and the second substrate.     • A bipolar pulsed power supply is provided in which, while effectively restricting the rise in current at the time of arcing which directly leads to the generation of splashes and particles, the occurrence of overvoltage at the time of polarity reversal is prevented. The power supply has a bridge circuit constituted by switching elements SW1 through SW4 connected to positive and negative DC outputs from a DC power supply source. The operation of the switching elements is controlled to output in a bipolar pulsed mode at a predetermined frequency to a pair of electrodes which come into contact with a plasma. There is provided an output-characteristics-switching circuit which switches the output such that, when outputting to the electrodes, the output to the electrodes has initially constant-voltage characteristics and subsequent output to the electrodes has constant-current characteristics.

    • Long-distance transfer of a super-resolution near field can be performed with a wavelength condition of high degree of freedom. Not only an image in same size can be merely transferred, but also a magnified image can be transferred. Thus the processing technique of a near-field image is improved. Small rods are erected at predetermined spacing with one another on a two-dimensional plane. At least the exterior surface of each small rod is made of a predetermined material having a dielectric constant ∈m meeting the condition “∈m≦−∈d” where ∈d is the dielectric constant of the surrounding medium. The axes of the small rods can be extended to a predetermined direction with respect to the two-dimensional plane. An optical near-field is incidented to one end of each small rod.

    • The present invention provides a test apparatus which comprises: a test head which applies a test pattern to the electronic device; a main frame which includes multiple frame-side connectors and which supplies control signals to the test head via the frame-side connectors; and a cable unit which provides optical connection between the frame-side connectors and the test head, and which transmits the control signals to the test head. With such an arrangement, the cable unit comprises: multiple optical fiber cables which transmit the control signals; multiple unit-side connectors which are provided at the ends of the optical fiber cables, and which are provided corresponding to the multiple frame-side connectors; a unit fixing portion which fixes the cable unit to the main frame; and a connector holder which holds the unit-side connectors in a manner which enables each unit-side connector to be inserted/extracted into/from the frame-side connector independent of each other.
