    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a solid fuel comparable to Japanese red pine as a fuel for pottery.
      SOLUTION: The solid fuel is obtained by regulating the mixing ratio of cotton loose fibers to polyester loose fibers within the range of (2:8) to (6:4). Thereby, the calorific value comparable to that of the Japanese red pine can be obtained. Since respective elements contained in ash of the cotton and polyester are similar to respective elements contained in the ash of the Japanese red pine, the solid fuel can be used as a substitute for firewood of the Japanese red pine. Behavioral results similar to the case of the Japanese red pine can be obtained in the mixed loose fibers in 6:4 mixing ratio of the cotton with the polyester even in measurement results of thermal degradation behavior. Thereby, the solid fuel can be used as the substitute for the firewood of the Japanese red pine.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolutely new practical sheet by using a carbon fiber and provide a reinforced plastic material produced by using the sheet as a reinforcing material.
      SOLUTION: A carbon fiber monofilament having a diameter of ≤10 μm is used as a single yarn and the yarns are knit or woven or aligned in one direction at a density of 5-1,500 yarns/inch to obtain a sheet. The sheet is widely applicable in a precision apparatus field, medical field, etc., as an ultra-thin sheet having biocompatibility or electrical conductivity. A reinforced plastic material reinforced with the ultra-thin sheet made of the carbon fiber monofilaments and having a thickness of ≤20 μm has a moderate strength even at a thickness of ≤0.5 mm and has functions such as electrical conductivity, heat ray absorption, X-ray transmission, thermal conductivity and adsorptivity.
