摘要： In various embodiments, a method of making a cutting mat backing includes creating a roving by wrapping a fiber material around a rotary cylinder under tension to form a plurality of layers. Each of the plurality of layers is angled with respect to a central axis of the rotary cylinder and the roving has a normalized axial flexural rigidity of from 2 lbf.in2 to 30 lbf.in2 over a beam width of 1 inch and a ratio of normalized circumferential flexural rigidity to normalized axial flexural rigidity of from 1:1 to 30:1. The method further includes infusing the roving with a polymer resin and curing the resin via electromagnetic radiation to form the cutting mat backing. Cutting mats including the cutting mat backing are also described.

摘要： According to embodiments, dry powdered compositions which may be reconstituted to provide a cheese product include at least one cheese component and a color blend. In some embodiments, the color blend includes from about 49.7% to about 87.1% curcumin compounds by weight based on a total amount of a color portion of the color blend; from about 2.1% to about 42.8% annatto carotenoids by weight based on the total amount of the color portion of the color blend; and from about 7.5% to about 10.8% paprika carotenoids by weight based on the total amount of the color portion of the color blend. In embodiments, the powdered composition includes from about 38.5 ppm to about 733.9 ppm curcumin compounds by weight based on the powdered composition; from about 3.6 ppm to about 165.7 ppm annatto carotenoids by weight based on the powdered composition; and from about 5.8 ppm to about 90.7 ppm paprika carotenoids by weight based on the powdered composition.

摘要： A device (100) to measure a temperature of molten metal may include an infrared sensor (102) effective to measure the temperature of the molten metal, a sheath (104) having an open end (110), a sealed end (108), and a channel (112) extending from the open end to the sealed end, and an infrared-transparent window (114) disposed between the infrared sensor and the channel of the sheath. The open end of the sheath is disposed near the infrared sensor and the sealed end of the sheath extends into the molten metal. The infrared- transparent window or rod is disposed between the infrared sensor and the channel of the sheath such that the infrared sensor can measure the temperature through the infrared-transparent window or rod, the channel, and the sealed end. The infrared-transparent window or rod seals the infrared sensor from the channel in the sheath.
