    • A guard cover for a construction machine is disclosed which comprises a first guard cover (12), the first guard cover covering devices to be inspected from both front and upper surface sides of the devices, the first guard cover capable of being opened and closed vertically, and a second guard cover (13) which becomes contiguous to the first guard cover (12) when closed and which covers devices to be subjected to servicing from a side of the devices, the second guard cover capable of being opened and closed in the transverse direction. According to this construction, the first and second guard covers can be opened each independently, so the devices to be subjected to inspection can be inspected by an operator within an opened range of the first guard cover (12) and the devices to be subjected to servicing can be serviced by a serviceman within an opened range of the second guard cover (13). Thus, the object of inspection by the operator and the object of servicing by a serviceman are clearly distinguished from each other, resulting in that both inspecting work and servicing work are greatly improved in their efficiency.

    • A method for purifying a particular substance from a mixture containing the same employs steps (1) and (2a), or (2b), stated below to thereby recover the particular substance of high purity in high yield from the mixture by relatively easy operation:

    • A polyisocyanate of urethane-modified isocyanurate type, prepared by the cyclotrimerization of at least one aliphatic or alicyclic diisocyanate either after being reacted with a polyhydric alcohol or in the presence of the alcohol and having a mean number of functional groups of 4.5 to 10 and a viscosity of 5,000 to 100,000 mPa.s at 25 °C in a state substantially free from the diisocyanate monomer and a solvent; a thermally diisociable blocked polyisocyanate; and a thermosetting curing agent composition and a thermosetting one-pack coating composition each containing the blocked polyisocyanate. The above polyisocyanate and blocked polyisocyanate are superior to the conventional ones in the compatibility with polyols and so forth. The curing agent composition which is improved is not only low-temperature curing effect but also yellowing resistance and gives a coating material excellent in weather resistance and so forth in addition to the above properties. Hence, the curing agent composition is utilizable as adhesive, tackifier, sealant and so forth, and the coating composition containing the blocked polyisocyanate or the curing agent composition is utilizable as automotive topcoating or intercoating material, chipping-resistant coating material, automotive part coating material, precoated metal or rustproof steel sheet for domestic electric appliances and business machines, building material coating material, plastics coating material, tackifier, sealant and electrodeposition coating material.

    • Disclosed are an adsorbent for CO, comprising a composite comprised of a porous inorganic carrier and, carried thereon, a binary complex of a nitrogen-containing compound and a copper(I) halide, the nitrogen-containing compound being at least one member selected from at least one pyridine compound and a diamine represented by R 1 R 2 N(CH 2 ) n -NR 3 R 4 , wherein n is 2 or 3 and each of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1 - C 4 alkyl group, with the proviso that when n is 2, each of at least two of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 represents a C 1 - C 4 alkyl group atoms and that when n is 3, at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 represents a C 1 - C 4 alkyl group, and a method for separating carbon monoxide by adsorption using the adsorbent. Also disclosed are a method for increasing the concentration of CO in an atmosphere by desorbing and releasing the CO from the adsorbent having CO adsorbed thereon and a method for regenerating an adsorbent by treating the deteriorated adsorbent (deteriorated by the contact with an oxygen-containing gas) with a reducing agent. The adsorbent is advantageous in that the adsorbent can adsorb CO with high selectivity and has high adsorptive and desorptive ability for CO, that the adsorbent can be produced using a conventional carrier and without using hydrochloric acid, with economical advantages, and that since the adsorbent is a solid, it can be handled with ease.
