    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having excellent solarization resistance.SOLUTION: The optical glass is produced from an optical glass containing, by weight, PO5-60%, TiO0-25%, BO0-20%, SiO0-30%, NbO5-60%, TaO0-20%, WO0-10%, BiO0-10%, ZrO0-5%, AlO0-5%, MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO 0-20%, LaO+YO+GdO0-20%, ZnO 0-20%, LiO+NaO+KO 0-35% (provided that the amount of LiO is 0-8% and the amount of NaO+KO is 0-35%) and 0-8% in total of fluoride (F) obtained by replacing a part or the whole of one or more oxides of the metallic elements. The content of MoOin the optical glass is measured, and when the MoOcontent exceeds 30 ppm by weight, the MoOcontent is reduced to ≤30 ppm by weight.
