Therefore, there is provided a fire alarm device capable of judging the outbreak of a fire based on an actual fire situation and giving an alarm and control in accordance with the degree of danger which a man would feel with respect to the scale, situation and so on of the fire.

    • A thermal analog fire detector which is excellent in measurement precision and resolution in both the high and low temperature ranges and which has a wide range of measuring temperatures. A constant voltage E from a constant voltage circuit is supplied to a CPU, an A/D converter and a constant current circuit. The constant current circuit is connected in series to a thermistor. The constant current circuit is constructed to supply a constant current, the value of which being variable in a plurality of stages, to the thermistor controlled by the CPU. The CPU switches the constant current of the constant current circuit according to the measured temperature data. A voltage V across the thermistor is converted into digital data by the A/D converter, and then the converted data is supplied to the CPU.

    • An ionization-type smoke sensor having a 2-chamber 1-radiation source structure including an inner electrode having a radiation source, an intermediate electrode having an opening through which radiation from the radiation source passes, an outer electrode through which smoke may flow inside from outside, and an insulator supporting and insulating the inner electrode, the intermediate electrode and the outer electrode. In the sensor, a fence portion made of an insulating material is formed on and projecting from a surface of the insulator which faces the outer electrode, the fence portion surrounding the periphery of the opening of the intermediate electrode. By virtue of this arrangement, even when the sensor is subjected to flow of air heading from outside toward the opening of the intermediate electrode, the fence serves to reduce the flow of air heading toward the opening, thereby enabling the characteristics of the sensor chambers to remain stable against flow of air. Since the fence portion made of an insulating material is formed to project from the surface of the insulator, the creepage distance between the intermediate electrode and the outer electrode is long, thereby enabling an improved level of insulation for the electrodes.

    • A light-attenuation type fire detector assembly of the present invention comprises a light emission drive section including a light emitter for radiating light having an intensity corresponding to an input signal level; a smoke detecting section including a light receiver which directly receives the light radiated from the light emission drive section and is adapted to output a detection signal corresponding to the received light amount of the light receiver; a smoke amount computing section for computing the amount of smoke based on the detection signal from the smoke detecting section; a delay circuit for retarding input of the detection signal from the smoke detecting section to the light emission drive section for a predetermined time; and a control section for repeating the operations of the light emission drive section, the smoke detecting section and the delay circuit and generating a control signal after a predetermined period of time has been passed or a predetermined times of operation has been done to drive the smoke amount computing section, and wherein the amount of smoke is computed during a time when said smoke amount computing section is driven based on the smoke detection signal input to said smoke amount computing section to detect if there is attenuation in the radiated light due to smoke between the light emitter and the light receiver.

    • A fire alarm system having a plurality of fire detectors connected in parallel with each other to a pair of power/signal lines leading to a central signal station and adapted to respond to the signal station with a detection signal in the mode of current and controlling the signalling between the fire detectors and the signal station. The detection of a fire is accomplished by computing a difference between a steady-state current flowing through the signal lines and a detection current which are detected in an analog amounts. Each of the fire detectors is called by a simple calling clock pulse whose transmitting timing is controlled by a microcomputer of the central signal station to transmit a detection data. The generation timing of the calling clock pulses is freely selectable to effect a desired control of the fire detectors.
