摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable liquid concentrated dye composition by making the composition contain a basic or cationic dye, an organic or inorganic acid, and a phenol derivative, and specifying the water solubility and concentration of the dye. SOLUTION: The basic or cationic dye is a direct dye having a solubility of at least 1g in 1l of water in spite of the presence of a phenol derivative as measured at 25 deg.C and is desirably a phthalocyanine direct dye. A liquid composition especially suited for a dyeing process can be obtained by adding a phenolic derivative and at least one organic or inorganic acid to an aqueous solution optionally containing a water-miscible solvent and/or a dissolution aid. The dyeing power of a the composition is not adversely affected even after storage. The composition comprises 4-50wt.% basic or cationic water-soluble dye, 1-20wt.% organic or inorganic acid, 0.1-15.0wt.% phenolic derivative and the balance of water.

In the equation, the number of diazo coupling reaction sites is the number of substituent-free carbon atoms in the o- and p-positions of each benzene ring with respect to a hydroxyl group in the compound. The alkali-soluble resin is preferably a novolak type phenolic resin obtained by polycondensing at least one phenol and aldehydes such as formaldehyde. The photosensitive material causes a chemical reaction when irradiated with light having a wavelength within the absorption band of the photosensitive material and varies the solubility of the photosensitive resin composition to water or an organic solvent.
