摘要： A spark gap including a capacitive energy store is provided. The spark gap is fed via a multiplicity of capacitors arranged in a form of a ring, wherein the capacitors are electrically connected to the anode and the cathode via ring-shaped and conical or funnel-shaped conductors. As a result, sudden changes in impedance can be avoided. At the same time, it is possible to realize as large a cross-sectional area of the conductor as possible within a very small space. Therefore, the spark gap has a switching response with a high rate of rise of the voltage pulse as soon as the spark gaps flash over. This results in an easily predictable switching response of the spark gap. The spark gap can be used, for example, to generate pulses of monochromatic X-ray radiation.

Such participating modules can be, for example: the mains connection, junction boxes with power switches (safeguards); a transformer, a rectifier, cables, slip ring brushes, slip ring tracks, etc.

摘要： A system for generating soft X rays. This system includes valve apparatus for repetitively providing bursts of a gas of brief duration and a magnetic pulse compression power supply for providing high current pulses. The system further includes a transmission line connected to the power supply for transmitting power pulses from the supply to discharge through bursts of gas. The power supply includes a plurality of series saturable inductor magnetic switches and a plurality of shunt capacitors. Thus, upon synchronized provision of a burst of gas from the valve apparatus and a power pulse from the power supply, a high current discharge generates plasma and an intense magnetic field which radially compresses the plasma, resulting in a dense, high temperature plasma which is an intense source of soft X rays.

摘要： An X-ray apparatus for a computed tomography scanner comprises a capacitor device formed of a plurality of capacitors which have the same capacitance and are successively connected to a first changeover switch between the filament and anode of an X-ray tube. There are connected in series between the anode of the X-ray tube and the first changeover switch a high voltage switch for intermittently applying a high voltage across the anode and filament of the X-ray tube and a wave tail cut circuit whose contact is opened when a drop takes place in the voltage of the capacitor connected to the first changeover switch. The capacitor device is connected to the secondary winding of a high voltage transformer through a second changeover switch and a diode connected to the plural capacitor in turn. Between the second changeover switch and the secondary winding of the high voltage transformer are connected a rectifier and the contact of a charge-interrupting circuit which is opened when a rise occurs in the voltage of the capacitor connected to the second changeover switch. The plural capacitors of the capacitor device are successively charged with high voltage of a prescribed level. The high voltage of the prescribed level with which the plural capacitors of the capacitor device are charged is successively applied at a short interval across the filament and anode of the X-ray tube, which emits the prescribed amount of X-radiation succession of short burst.
