The metallic thin wire 3 thus made is installed within a demolishing container, and the demolition container is filled with water, and an energy supply circuit is connects to the electrodes 8, 8. When electric energy stored in a capacitor is applied to the metallic thin wire 3 in a short period of time through the electrode 8, 8, the metallic thin wire 3 is rapidly fused and vaporized to vaporize water and impact occurring at this moment destroys a matter to be demolished. A particular metallic thin wire need not be installed separately so that efficiency of operation is enhanced.
