    • The present invention relates to an enclosure and aims to provide an enclosure, which facilitates handling and organizing of incoming and/or outgoing cable and connecting the same to electric, electronic components, or cables within the enclosure. The enclosure of the invention comprises a frame (18) defining an organizing section (38) comprising at least one receptacle (40) for a cable and further comprising a cover (4) mountable on said frame (18), wherein said cover (4) has at least one opening (84) providing access to said organizing section (38) in the mounted state of said cover (4) and at least one cover door (10) assigned to said opening (84) and hinged to said cover (4) and a tray element (42) movably secured to said cover (4) to adopt a first position, in which the tray element (42) is arranged between the opening (84) and the organizing section (38), and a second position, in which the tray element (42) is arranged below the organizing section (38) and protrudes the cover (4) through the opening (84).

    • Mechanisms for mounting, opening, closing and releasing a door assembly relative to a mounting structure are provided. The mechanisms employ a first structure that defines at least one elongated guide channel and a latching subassembly that is adapted to be mounted with respect to the foregoing guide channel(s) and to rotate with respect thereto. Rotation of the latching assembly with respect to the guide channel(s) allows a latching region, e.g., a V shaped latching region, to move between a first position (wherein the latching region is adapted to receive a mounting structure) and a second position (wherein the latching region cannot receive a mounting structure). In the second position, the latching region (in combination with the guide channel) is structured to capture a mounting structure (e.g., a projection associated with a cable management system) therewithin. Methods for use of the door assembly and latching subassembly are provided, as well as particular utilities thereof, e.g., rack-mounting applications.

    • Remote enclosure systems have now been designed and are described herein that meet the following goals: a) consolidates electrical terminations in one system; b) pre-terminates AC and DC equipment loads before site installation; c) provides multiple access points for facilitating equipment repair and installation; d) is easily expanded through the use of additional systems or expansion cabinets and e) is aesthetically functional given the cable entry and routing structure. Remote enclosure systems generally comprise: a) a frame system further comprising at least two side panels; b) at least one door coupled to the frame system; c) at least one removable radiofrequency (RF) port plate coupled to at least one of the side panels and/or the frame system; d) a bottom panel coupled to the frame system; and e) a cable management top assembly coupled to the frame system. The remote enclosure system may also comprise any number of components suitable for electronics, wireless and cable-based data and telecommunications applications, including air conditioner exhaust member, an air conditioner unit, a battery pack, a meter base, a power receptacle box, an alarm system or alarm device, an expansion cabinet, a coupling device or system, a pre-wiring system and/or a demarcation component. A remote enclosure system may be produced by: a) providing a frame system having at least two side panels, at least one door coupled to the frame system, at least one removable RF port plate coupled to at least one of the side panels, a bottom panel coupled to the frame system, and a cable management top assembly coupled to the frame system; b) providing an expansion cabinet; and c) coupling the frame system to the expansion cabinet through a coupling interface.
