摘要： A tubular latch is provided which includes a case, a bolt, a hub rotatably mounted within the latch case to receive a door handle shaft, a cam integral to an outer surface of the hub and having a driving surface wherein rotational movement of the hub causes the driving surface to rotate with the hub, and a slider member movable, by the cam, from a first axial position in the latch case wherein the slider member is in an extended position to a second axial position wherein the slider member is in an extended position to a second axial position wherein the slider member is in a retracted position. The latch further includes a latch spring adjuster plate moveable axially within the latch case that is adjustable and securable to a desired axial position within the latch case, and a slider member spring for biasing the slider member away from the latch spring adjuster plate.

摘要： A door latch has an adjustable cam (25) to accommodate two backsets of the bore (24) through a door. The cam (25) is operably attached to a handle (14). Rotation of the handle (24) approximately 45 DEG fully retracts latch bolt (54) and deadbolt (56) through a slide actuator (100) that pulls a link (112) which pivots a cam lever (104) that retracts the bolt (54). The bolt (54) retracting motion is magnified with respect to the motion of actuator (100) via the link (112) and cam lever (104). The link (112) and cam lever (104) are mounted within cylinder section half (52) of housing (28) so as not to interfere with the deadbolt (56) and its slide (150) and deadbolt locking plate (170) that are mounted in a complementary cylinder half (51).

摘要： A system for electromagnetically harvesting waste kinetic energy. A wound electrical coil having a hollow bobbin abuts an opening in ring magnet. An actuator plunger extends through the opening. Fixed magnets are located at the opposite end of the bobbin. Floating magnets are disposed within the bobbin, arranged with their magnetic field opposing that of the fixed magnets but not that of the ring magnet. Axial force on the actuator plunger moves the floating magnets toward the fixed magnets. When the actuator is released, the floating magnets are repelled by the fixed magnets and attracted by the ring magnet, causing the floating magnets to pass rapidly through the coil, thereby generating an electric current in the coil. In one application, the harvester is actuated by a keeper in a door latch release mechanism. In a second application the harvester is actuated by a latch bolt of a lock set.
