    • The invention relates to a device for holding a pouring neck of a bottle in the axial direction, said neck comprising a radially projecting ring, and for stopping said neck against torque applied thereto, in one of two rotating directions during rotation about the axis of the pouring neck. Said device comprises a carrier (1) which is open on one side, partially encompasses the pouring neck, and has a U-shaped opening (2) with a curved bottom (3), the central axis thereof being perpendicular to the carrier (1). The device further comprises a projecting engagement element (9) for stopping against rotational movement. The aim of the invention is to improve one such device in such a way that the pouring neck to be stopped can be introduced with greater ease into the carrier and removed - even when a plurality of pouring necks are being simultaneously loaded and unloaded - and to produce a preferably hard-wearing device simply and economically. In order to achieve this, the projecting, stopping engagement element (9) is arranged in a staggered manner in relation to the bottom, in the direction of the central axis in the region of the curved bottom (3) of the carrier (1) on the extended arc (3a) of the bottom (3) in the region of the open side thereof (3). A counter support (3a) is provided on the other side, approximately on the extended arc (3a), opposite the engagement element (9).
