摘要： In the representative embodiments of diffusion devices disclosed in the specification, a diffusor support member and a flexible sheet-like diffusor are connected in sealing relation along peripheral edges by continuous clamping and sealing arrangements. One form of the clamping and sealing arrangement comprises a U-shaped clamp which embraces the edge of the support member and the peripheral edge of the diffusor. In another form of clamping and sealing arrangement, two strip members held apart by a third strip are inserted into a groove in the support member so as to clamp the diffusor in the groove. Additional strengthening members for the support member and hold-down members for the diffusor are also disclosed.

摘要： A low pressure valveless floating aeration system for providing oxygen and circulation to a water impoundment, utilizing one or more floating elongate members supporting a substantially uniform assemblage of air diffusers spaced above the bottom of the impoundment. Air at a comparatively low pressure is supplied to said elongate members and thence to said air diffusers, such that a large number of tiny bubbles will rise up from the air diffusers through the water of the impoundment, bringing about a desirable amount of circulation in the water. Because the air diffusers are suspended from members floating on the water surface, the depth at which the diffusers are located can be made uniform, or the diffusers can be suspended at gradually decreasing depths at locations remote from the air supply.

摘要： To ensure a performance-based regulation of a fuel cell, the use of fuel-mixtures with a defined flow is required. According to the invention, to produce mixtures of this type, water is pumped through a hollow body, which, at least in certain sections, has a wall consisting of porous material and fuel is pumped into the chamber on the other side of the porous wall, at a defined flow rate. As a result of the difference in pressure, the fuel penetrates the porous wall over its entire surface into the water flowing past on the other side of said porous wall, thus creating a homogeneous mixture. In the corresponding device (10, 20), at least certain sections of the hollow body (1, 21) have a porous wall (2, 22). A device of this type is preferably used in direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC), for which the operating temperature and the operating pressure can be pre-defined.
