    • The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, in which circulates a flow of drawn-in air loaded with particles, between an inlet nozzle and an aperture communicating with a suction chamber. The vacuum cleaner includes a water-air separator intercalated between an upstream conduit and suction device, capable of orienting the gas phase into the suction chamber, and the particles into a tank. The invention relates to a heating body incorporated in the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner also includes a filament embedded in ceramic materials, and a spray chamber formed by a helical space between two bodies or casings nested into each other, at least one of the bodies or casings being a ceramic body incorporating, embedded, a metallic filament.

    • An air filter baffle unit that works with large type canister wet/dry type vacuums. The baffle unit also can be used in large air filter systems and can be ganged to increase filtering. The baffle unit has two sections that are connected for use. An inlet pipe is connected to the inlet of the vacuum. This inlet pipe directs the incoming dirt into the baffle unit, where it encounters a number of baffles and a water reservoir before it is expelled as clean air. In this baffle unit, there is no need for paper or other types of filters that must be periodically replaced. In this way, the baffle unit provides a simple, effective mechanism for filtering air using the wet/dry vacuum. The baffle unit can be also placed in an air filtering system that has a housing, an inlet and an outlet.

    • Cleaning apparatus that has at least one suction device that sucks fluid toward the inside of the apparatus and is connected to an external suction duct. Interposed between the duct and the suction device is a device that holds back the solid particles present in the fluid. Such a holding back device includes at least one mixing chamber containing in part the liquid.     • Disclosed is a dust-collecting barrow according to the invention. The dust-collecting barrow has a layer of silicon oil on the bottom thereof. The silicon oil is stable; that is, it is difficult for it to react with chemical compounds. The dust-collecting barrow has a plurality of alternately-arranged dividers. When chemical materials and/or particles are sucked into the dust-collecting barrow, heavier materials are first deposited in the silicon oil while lighter materials continuously move forward, and then are deposited in the silicon oil. Furthermore, the dust-collecting barrow is divided by the alternatively-arranged dividers into a plurality of open spaces which are used to absorb various chemical materials or particles, thereby preventing the various chemical materials or particles from reacting with each other.

    • The present invention is a three stage water-from-air-filter system which can be used in combination with substantially any household vacuum cleaner. The system includes a main cylindrically shaped body and a hollow cylinder within the main body. The main body and cylinder form a ring-shaped chamber. The chamber has a spherical bottom partially filled with water. The hollow cylinder is made of a large pipe and a small pipe. The large pipe has an areohydrodynamic separator. An entrance nozzle may be located on either the main body or on the small pipe. Regardless of where the nozzle is located, polluted air enters the ring-shaped chamber through the nozzle. In the chamber the air mixes with the water. The air and water mixture is centrifugally separated several times through the concentric cylinders within the filter system to ensure a high quality of cleaning.

    • This invention relates to a cyclone-type aspirated dirt separator for use in washing dirt from dirt-laden dry airstreams and, more particularly, to a device of the class described which is especially suited for use with a dry pick-up vacuum cleaner as a means for collecting the dirt it picks up in a water bath. The separator is characterized by a riser tube with an open top and an opening in its lower end immersed in a water bath into which dirt-laden dry air is introduced tangentially for ascending spiral movement therethrough while simultaneously aspirating water. Internal baffles create turbulent flow in the water/dirt-laden air mixture and they thus prevent vortexing which otherwise results in a relatively unwashed dirt-laden air column centered inside a hollow water column. A venturi adjacent the outlet of the riser tube accelerates the turbulent mixture against a dome in the underside of the cannister lid where the clean air separates and the dirt-laden water cascades down the outside of the riser tube back into the bucket containing the water bath. The invention also contemplates a removable cannister lid and aspirator subassembly that provides ready access to the bucket containing the dirty water that sits inside the cannister well.

In a gas scrubber the gas to be scrubbed is drawn by a fan 20 through a pipe 17 and bubbled through a body of liquid in a housing 12, the level of liquid in the housing being maintained by the supply of liquid thereto through pipe 27, valve 28 and an arrangement which discharges liquid into the pipe 17, the valve 28 being controlled by the pressure within the housing 12. The control means comprises a pipe 37 connected at its upper end to pressure responsive switches and dipping at its lower end into the liquid in the lousing so that the level of liquid therein affects the pressure in he pipe 37 and actuates he pressure responsive switches to open or close the valve 28 through a solenoid 29 :o supply or cut-off the supply of liquid to the nousing. The gas after bubbling through the liquid passes through a cylindrical screen 24 and is discharged through a cover 22. The lower end 13 of the housing 12 has an outlet 14 normally closed by a flap 15 held in its closing position by the subatmospheric pressure within the housing 12.
