    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated hard film excellent in adhesion with a substrate and capable of achieving a long lifetime of members.SOLUTION: The laminated hard film 1 formed on a surface of a substrate 2 includes an A layer 11 composed of TiSi(BCN) [wherein, 0.05≤x≤0.4, p≥0, q≥0, r>0, and p+q+r=1], and having a thickness of at least 100 nm, and a B layer 12 composed of at least one kind selected from TiB, SiC and BC, and having a thickness of at least 50 nm. The A layer 11 and the B layer 12 are alternately laminated in this order from the surface side repeatedly one or more times, and the total of the thicknesses of the A layer 11 and the B layer 12 is at least 500 nm.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the service life of the subject tool by sintering a mixture composed of a specified weight percents of α alumina having a hexagonal crystal structure and a specified weight percents of titanium carbonitride(TiCN) composed of titanium carbide and titanium nitride. CONSTITUTION: Though in the case of 80 wt.% of alumina and 20 wt.% of titanium carbonitride a longest service life is show, and there is a trouble, in the case of 70 wt.% of alumina and 30 wt.% of titanium carbonitride a longer service life is shown and there is less trouble. A composition of the material for the subject tool comprises 60-80 wt.% of alumina and 20-40 wt.% of titanium carbonitride composed of 30-50 wt.% of titanium carbide and 30-70 wt.% of titanium nitride. Furthermore, a composition comprising titanium carbonitride composed of 30-50 wt.% of titanium carbide and 50-70 wt.% of titanium nitride and a composition comprising 70 wt.% of alumina and 30 wt.% of titanium carbonitride are used. The compositions are sintered to provide the subject tool.
