摘要： A transfer sheet comprises a support, and a transfer layer separable from the support and receivable an ink, wherein the transfer layer contains a hot-melt adhesive particle. The hot-melt adhesive particle in the transfer sheet comprises a particle having a melting point of more than 80° C. (A) and a particle having a melting point of not more than 80° C. (B), and the particle (A) comprises a hot-melt adhesive particle having an oil absorption of not less than 50 ml/100 g (A1) and a hot-melt adhesive particle having an oil absorption of less than 50 ml/100 g (A2). Further, the transfer layer may comprise a film-formable resin component and a dye fixing agent. The transfer sheet is excellent in stability on delivery of a sheet, so prevents the inside of the printer from staining, and excels in ink-absorption to a degree that the stain transfer does not occur.

Each of the first information layer and the second information layer comprises a recording layer in which an optical change is caused by irradiation of laser light, and in the first and second information layers, signals can be recorded/reproduced on/from the recording layer by irradiating the recording layer with laser light through the substrate. The first information layer comprises a first protective layer, the recording layer, and a second protective layer in this order from the side of the substrate, and at least one of the first protective layer and the second protective layer comprises at least two layers. The at least two layers comprise a first layer and a second layer in this order from the side near the recording layer. The heat conductivity of a material constituting the second layer is larger than that of a material constituting the first layer.

The second information layer comprises an optical interference layer, a lower protective layer, a recording layer, an upper protective layer, and a reflective layer in this order from the side near the transparent substrate. The reflective layer has a refractive index of at least 2.5 at a wavelength &lgr; of light beams. The second information layer is a reflectance-increase type where the reflectance with respect to the light beams incident from the transparent substrate side after recording is higher than that before recording. It is possible not to provide the optical interference layer if the ratio n1/n2 of the refractive index n1 at the wavelength &lgr; of the recording layer before recording to the refractive index n2 thereof after recording is not more than 0.8.

The reflectance in a mark portion formed at the time of focusing and irradiating the light beams incident from the first substrate side on the first information layer is higher than that in a space portion where no mark is formed, and 40% or more of the light beams pass through the first information layer and reach the second information layer.

摘要： The present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing the PCE optical information recording disk under control of not only the crystallization velocity but also the complex index of refraction and thus the reflectance on the disk surface.The PCE optical information recording disk is suitable to be used under the constant angular velocity (the constant rotational numbers wherein the disk has a characteristic that the crystallization velocity is designed to become faster from inside area of the disk to outside area in the radical direction thereof under control of not only the crystallization velocity but also the complex index of refraction and thus the reflectance on the disk surface.In the case of mass production and high film formation to be required, the present invention provides an effective method for manufacturing the optical disk by means of sputtering from at least two targets at the same time in a manner that the crystallization velocity is increased in a radial direction from inside area to outside area in the disk.

摘要： A track on the disk is divided into plural concentric zones on the radial position thereof. During recording, the angular velocity varies according to the zones accessed for recording, and the disk is driven at a rotational velocity whereby the angular velocity is constant within any single zone but decreases as the radial position of the zone of the accessed track approaches the outside circumference of the disk. During reproducing, the disk is driven at a rotational velocity whereby the angular velocity is constant in all zones. The range of change in the relative linear velocity of the head to the track is thus smaller and the change in the recording conditions is less during recording. During reproducing, there is no delay time required for rotational control of the disk, and the desired track can be more quickly accessed.
