    • A drive unit includes a motor disposed in a motor case, a controller, disposed in a controller case, and a lever. The lever includes a supported portion that is fitted on a support of the controller case in a rotatable manner, a first action point at a first distance from the supported portion, and a second action point at a second distance from the supported portion.     • A motor includes a stator having a winding wire wound thereon, a rotor, and a shaft. The motor is housed in a motor case, where the motor case has a cylinder part and a bottom part. A first terminal is disposed on the motor case, and has one end coupled to an end of the winding wire, such that the wire passes through a first opening on the bottom part. A controller case is disposed detachably on the bottom part. The controller case has a controller housed therein, and has a second terminal that has one end electrically coupled to a power module and the other end engages with the first terminal to electrically couple the motor and the controller. A terminal holder is attached on the motor case to hold and support the first terminal.

    • In a disconnection detecting mode, first and second MOSFETs are turned off, a transistor is turned on, and charges of a capacitor are initialized. After that, third and fourth MOSFETs are alternately turned on/off by drive signals and having a complementary relation. When an antenna is connected normally, a pulse AC signal is transmitted to an output terminal via the antenna, and current flows from the output terminal into the capacitor via a resistor, a diode, and a resistor. When a voltage across terminals becomes equal to or higher than a determination reference voltage, a disconnection detection signal is changed to the H level (a connection state).

    • A method for forming scribed grooves on a wafer and an apparatus for implementing the method. The method moves the cutting part such that its cutting edge forms an inverted trapezoid-shaped path, thereby reducing the scribing angle of the cutting edge to an acute angle. Consequently, the stress produced by the mechanical shock at the time of the scribing can be dispersed in the moving direction of the cutting edge and in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the wafer. The horizontal movement of the scribing cutting edge in the wafer enables the application of a sufficient load in a direction perpendicular to the scribing plane in the wafer. Consequently, vertical cracks are sufficiently generated, and the amount of dimensional deviation between the scribed groove and the cleaved plane is reduced. This method can produce chips featuring outside dimensions with higher precision and cleaved surfaces with high-quality mirror finish.
