摘要： A CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor is provided. A CMOS image sensor includes a first light-receiving unit converting light into charge, a first floating diffusion region, in which a first potential corresponding to the converted amount of charge is generated and a second floating diffusion region, to which the charge in the first floating diffusion region is transmitted, and in which a second potential is generated, wherein a wide dynamic range signal is acquired from the first floating diffusion region, a high-sensitively signal is acquired from the second floating diffusion region, and the acquired signals are synthesized and output.

摘要： An image generating apparatus including a filtering unit to filter a plurality of light signals including a first filter region and a second filter region. The first filter region may allow a complementary color wavelength band of an incident light signal to pass through and the second filter region may allow a whole wavelength band of the incident light signal to pass through. At least one of the first filter region and the second filter region includes two sub-regions configured to pass filtered light signals with two different sensitivities. In addition, an image sensing unit may sense at least one of the filtered light signals of different sensitivities in the complementary color wavelength band and the filtered light signals of different sensitivities in the whole wavelength band from the filtering unit and an image processing unit may generate an image based on the sensed light signals.

The sensing unit includes a plurality of photodetection pixels, each photodetection pixel comprising an infrared sub-pixel for sensing near infrared light, a red sub-pixel for sensing red light, a blue sub-pixel for sensing blue light, and a green sub-pixel for sensing green light.
