    • A dispensing station is mounted to a counter and includes a container that is retained under the counter to hold a volume of no-rinse hand-treatment product. A protective platform is positioned on the top surface of the counter, and a faucet structure has an outlet positioned over the protective platform. A pump communicates with the volume of no-rinse hand-treatment product in the container, and a dispensing conduit extends through the faucet structure, communicating between the pump and the outlet of the faucet structure such that actuation of the pump causes no-rinse hand-treatment product to be dispensed at the outlet and directed toward the protective platform. This dispensing station will encourage the use of no-rinse hand-treatment products by providing a well-defined station, similar to the stations defined by common sinks.

    • A method of manufacturing a patient aid device, such as a walker (W), includes the steps of molding a polymer or plastic connector (60) over first and second metal structural members (22, CB) to maintain the structural members in a first geometrical relationship. After the plastic has cured, the method includes the step of rotating the first structural member or front leg (22) relative to the plastic connector (60) to form an integral hinge without any seam in the plastic. The resultant walker includes front legs (22) hinged via the connectors (60) at opposite ends of the front cross brace (CB). The front leg (22) and rear leg (24) of each side frame (SF1, SF2) of the walker are interconnected by a lower cross brace (40) that has plastic preferably molded about the entire periphery of each leg.

    • A height adjustable cane includes an upper tubular member configured to slidably receive a second tubular member in a telescoping manner. A plurality of apertures are formed in the first tubular member which allows a button of a snap button assembly to pass therethrough and lock the tubular members against relative movement. Using the push-button assembly and the telescopic feature, the length of the cane may be adjusted. Increased stability between the tubular members is provided by a cam locking assembly including a housing receiving a cam member. The cam member includes a lever and a raised camming surface that selectively engages an outer surface of the second tubular member.
