    • A method and system for modifying a dynamic table within an array includes inserting or deleting one or more records from the table while maintaining the integrity of subsequent tables within the array. The method first determines which subsequent tables at least partially overlap the boundary of the modified table, wherein the overlapping portions are shifted by the changes to the modified table. Next, the invention shifts the non-overlapping (unaltered) portions of the subsequent tables so that the two separate portions of the subsequent table are properly aligned and the integrity of the data within the subsequent table is maintained. In the case where data records are deleted from the modified table, the method first determines if a shift of the non-overlapping portions of the subsequent data would compromise any existing cell data within the array and then adjusts both the overlapping and the non-overlapping portions in order to reintegrate the entire subsequent table.

    • A subsystem provides for negotiating a common version for interfaces of objects supported by the subsystem and a remote subsystem. In one embodiment, the subsystem determines a list of interfaces, including a version range for each interface, of objects supported by the subsystem, and a list of interfaces, including a version range for reach interface, of objects supported by the remote subsystem. The subsystem then negotiates a list of a version of each interface supported by both the subsystem and the remote subsystem by matching the versions for each interface and selecting the highest version that is common to both the list of interfaces of objects supported by the subsystem and the list of interfaces of objects supported by the remote subsystem.

    • A system and method for mapping payload data to a spreadsheet list. The present invention comprises a system for mapping payload data to a spreadsheet list while supporting the implementation of nested tables, without the use of a schema. After receiving a spreadsheet list, the present invention generates the parent path of each field path defined in the spreadsheet list. The longest parent path may be used to generate a set of nodes from the payload data. If more than one unique parent path qualifies as the longest parent path, then such parent patents may be designated as branch bottom paths. All other parent paths may then be associated with an appropriate branch bottom path. During the binding process, each branch bottom path may be evaluated to generate result nodes, which may be used to obtain the values of the fields of the spreadsheet list.

    • A modified proxy object implements one or a multiple versions of an interface, and provides a common, multi-version interface. The common, multi-version interface is comprised of a union of all the methods of all versions of the interface that are supported by the modified proxy object. Since the common, multi-version interface allows an object to access the functionalities supported by the multiple versions of the interface, a subsystem programmed to create and use the modified proxy object(s) only needs to use the common, multi-version interface provided by the modified proxy object(s) to communicate with multiple, different versions of remote subsystems.
