The process entails introducing the polymer melt into a horizontally oriented cylindrical device that contains a plurality of perforated disks rotating about a common horizontally oriented, externally driven shaft bringing the melt and disks into contact in a manner calculated to constantly renew the surface of the melt to be stripped. Also disclosed is an apparatus suitable for the process.

摘要： A process for the continuous production of a thermoplastic aromatic polycarbonate is disclosed. Accordingly, in a reactor system which includes a tube reactor and a tank equipped with a stirrer, there are reacted a preheated dialkali diphenolate aqueous solution with gaseous phosgene in CH.sub.2 Cl.sub.2 and/or in chlorobenzene solution containing excess phosgene, in a mixer to form a mixed emulsion. The emulsion is then transported at least partly against the force of gravity into the tube reactor to facilitate a polycondensation reaction and in which after a residence time of at least 10 seconds and without dissipation of the heat of reaction there is added a chain terminator. The heat of reaction is dissipated in said tank and aqueous sodium hydroxide and catalyst are added to complete the reaction. The process according to the invention leads to high yields of phosgene.

摘要： A method for the separate discharge of the individual phase streams of a multiple component flow comprising a high viscosity slow flowing liquid or suspension and a gas flowing at at least 100 times faster with the volumetric ratio of the gas to the liquid being greater than 1:1. The multicomponent flow is transversely fed through an inlet and directly into a rotating helical channel for conveying liquid in one direction. The channel has a liquid outlet spaced from the inlet in the one direction and a gas outlet spaced from the inlet in the opposite direction. A gas shut-off is formed between the inlet and the liquid outlet so as to effect the discharge of gas through the gas outlet in the opposite direction during the conveying of the liquid by the helical channel to the liquid outlet in the one direction.
