    • A facility for the continuous supply of a coal gasification plant with finely ground fuel material is disclosed. The fuel is first stored in a storage tank and then fed to a lock hopper system, where it is supplied with gas for the coal gasification reaction. The lock hopper system consists of at least two lock hoppers to achieve that the gas is injected quasi-continuously, and the fuel is then passed to a feed tank in which a constant filling level prevails over a given period of time, so that the fuel is conveyed in a constant, smooth and pressurised flow from this feed tank to the burners. The transfer from at least two lock hoppers to a least one feed tank is carried out by pneumatic dense-flow conveying at solid material densities of at least 100 kg/m3 and a differential pressure of at least 0.5 bar so that it is possible to arrange the facility components at the same geodetic height or different geodetic heights so as to achieve a space saving and flexible plant construction. The invention also relates to a process for the continuous and uniform supply of finely ground fuel to a coal gasification reactor.

    • The invention relates to a fluidized bed reactor for thermally pre-treating solid raw materials containing water with devices for receiving a stepped, stationary fluidized bed, comprising at least two concentrically arranged treatment zones. Each treatment zone has at least one separate gas inlet for fluidizing gas, and the individual treatment zones are only connected to each other by overflows. The outermost treatment zone has a feeding device for raw material. Each treatment zone is divided from the respective other adjacent treatment zone by an overflow weir, and the innermost treatment zone has an outlet for reaction products. The solid raw material is fed into the outermost treatment zone of the fluidized bed, said fluidized bed being loosened and fluidized with fluidizing gas. A first temperature and a first residence time are set in a first step of the fluidized bed, and a second temperature and a second residence time are set in a second step of the fluidized bed. The temperatures of the fluidizing gas of the first step and the second step are controlled separately. The fluidized material flows out of the outer treatment zone over the overflow weir into the inner treatment zone, and the fluidized material is drawn off from the floor of the innermost treatment zone with the product.

    • An apparatus for the degassing of a dust from a synthesis gas produced by a gasification process, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a main dust separator, a multi-purpose vessel, fluid for degassing and cooling and a storage facility for dust. The synthesis gas produced is conducted via a connecting pipe to a main dust separator, from which a de-dusted raw synthesis gas stream and a dust-like solid which also contains raw synthesis gas in the voids between the dust particles can be removed. The dust-like solid is directed into a multi-purpose vessel equipped with devices for reducing the pressure level so that a tail gas is obtained and a solid containing lower gas quantities in the void fraction remains. There is a device for transporting a solid into a gas exchange apparatus, the latter comprising a gas exchange tank, a dust separator and a feed device for exchange gas. It is possible to reduce the gas exchange tank to atmospheric pressure. The gas exchange apparatus has an outlet for a solid that has been at least partially liberated from raw synthesis gas, said apparatus having an upwards-oriented conveyor in which an upwards-directed gas and solids stream can be established. The conveyor has an open cross-section, a bottom clear opening and a top clear opening. A feed device for exchange gas which is directed into the bottom clear opening is positioned underneath the bottom end of the conveyor. The dust separator has a discharge device for a tail gas stream and a downwards-directed connection into the gas exchange tank for a solid liberated from raw synthesis gas.
