SOLUTION: The input device comprises an input section 10 for inputting a handwritten character, a display section 40 for displaying the input of the input section 10, an accumulation section 15 for accumulating the input handwritten character as a stroke data, a retrieving section 20 for retrieving stroke data having a characteristic common point with a new input of the input section 10 from the accumulation section 15 and presents the result as candidates to the display section 40, and a selecting section 30 for selecting one of the presented candidates and reflecting the selected candidate to the display section 40. The input device further comprises a managing section 50 for managing use status information on the input device. The accumulation section 15 receives the use status information from the managing section 50, and records the stroke data and use status information in association with each other. According to the inter-user similarities, a guide information generation part 40 estimates the values of individual pieces of guide information, selects guide information regarding places, facilities, etc., that other users having similar interests and properties actually visited in the past as guide data and provides the data for the object user of information provision.
