    • In an optical disc device including an optical disc, a device for selectively processing and recording on the optical disc analog and digital input signals includes analog modulation circuitry for receiving analog input signals and producing modulated analog output signals, block forming circuitry for receiving digital input signals, partitioning the digital input signals into sectors containing sector data, adding error code data to each sector, and producing sector data signals, and digital modulation circuitry for receiving the sector data signals, digitally modulating the sector data signals to suppress low-frequency components, encoding the sector data signals, and producing encoded modulated digital output signals. Selection circuitry receives an external signal indicative of whether the input signals are analog or digital input signals, selects one of the modulated analog output signals and the encoded modulated digital output signals based on the external signal, and produces a selection signal indicating which of the output signals is selected. Recording circuitry receives and amplifies the output signal selected by the selection circuitry, receives the selection signal from the selection circuitry, filters the amplified signal based on the selection signal, and records the amplified filtered signal on the optical disc.

    • It is intended to provide a blood test apparatus whereby the vicinity of a site to be punctured for collecting the blood can be negatively pressurized and the negative pressurization can be conducted at an appropriate time without resorting to a special operation, thereby facilitating a blood test. More specifically speaking, a blood test apparatus which comprises: a housing having an opening: a puncture means located in the opening; a first sensing means whereby the contact of the front face of the opening with a site to be punctured is detected; a negative pressurization means whereby the inside of the opening is negatively pressurized; a blood sensor whereby the blood, that flows out from the punctured site having been punctured by the puncture means after negatively pressurizing the inside of the opening by the negative pressurization means, is collected; and a measurement circuit whereby a signal obtained from the blood sensor analyzing components in the blood is measured, wherein the negative pressurization means starts up when the first sensing means detects the contact of the front face of the opening with the site to be punctured.

    • An electrophoresis apparatus is provided with a plate 10 on which channels 110 are formed, a tray 22 on which the plate is to be set, a tray driving means 20 for rotary driving the tray 22 on which the plate is set, a voltage application means 30 for applying voltage to a buffer agent in the channels on the plate 10, an optical detection part for irradiating the channels on the plate with light, and detecting fluorescence that is generated from the sample due to the light irradiation, and a plate clamp 35 for pressing the plate 10 at only the channel formation areas of the plate 10 against the plate setting surface of the tray 22, there fixing and holding the plate 10 on the plate setting surface of the tray 22. Therefore, it is possible to prove a compact, light, and inexpensive electrophoresis apparatus which does not require complicated preparation works, and provides results accurately in short time.
