A first plane (47) extends between positions at which the circumscribing arc meets a first surface (35a) on the guard element and a surface on the first cap element. A second plane (48) extends between positions at which the circumscribing arc meets a second surface (35b) on the guard element and a surface (37b) on the second cap element. The cutting edge of at least one of the blades in the plurality of blades has a position that is above the first plane and at or below the circumscribing arc.

A return force generating member is formed in the concave portion for generating a return force for the blade unit in response to the relative movement transfer member. The return force generating member includes a holding structure for holding a part of the relative movement transfer member, and an elastic member connected to the holding structure for generating the return force in response to the relative movement transfer member.

摘要： An operating head, such as a hair trimming device, is mechanically and electrically connected to a power supply unit, for example in the form of a handle, by a bayonet coupling, with a female member on the handle and a male member on the trimming device. The male member has a plug part that engages slidably into a sleeve portion of the female member and has pin projections for cooperation with bayonet slots in the sleeve portion. Electrical contacts are arranged centrally within the plug part and the sleeve portion which themselves form further electrical contacts. A shroud surrounds the male member and engages the handle through a seal to prevent water ingress to the electrical contacts.
