    • An apparatus for synchronous rectifying of a soft switching power converter is provided. An integrated synchronous rectifier includes a power transistor coupled between a transformer and the output of the soft switching power converter, and a controller receiving a pulse signal to switch on/off the power transistor. A switching control circuit generates the pulse signal in response to a current signal, and generates drive signals to switch the transformer in response to a switching signal. An isolation device is coupled to transfer the pulse signal between the switching control circuit and the integrated synchronous rectifier. The switching signal is used for regulating the power converter and the current signal is correlated to the switching current of the transformer.

    • A synchronous rectifying circuit of a resonant switching power converter is provided to improve the efficiency. The synchronous rectifying circuit includes a power transistor and a diode connected to a transformer and an output ground of the power converter for rectifying. A sense transistor is coupled to the power transistor for generating a mirror current correlated to a current of the power transistor. A controller generates a driving signal to control the power transistor in response to a switching-current signal. A current-sense device is coupled to the sense transistor for generating the switching-current signal in response to the mirror current. The controller enables the driving signal to turn on the power transistor once the diode is forwardly biased. The controller generates a reset signal to disable the driving signal and turn off the power transistor once the switching-current signal is lower than a threshold.

    • The present invention provides a synchronous switching control circuit for variable switching frequency power converters. It comprises a first circuit to generate a first signal in response to an input synchronous signal of a power converter. A second circuit is coupled to the first circuit to generate a second signal in accordance with the frequency of the first signal. Only when the first signal is operated in a specific frequency range, the synchronous operation is allowed. An oscillation circuit is connected to the first circuit and the second circuit to receive the first signal and the second signal to generate an oscillation signal. The oscillation signal is utilized to enable the switching signal of the power converter. The switching signal is thus synchronized with the input synchronous signal in response to the enable of the second signal. Otherwise, the switching signal will be free running.

    • A causal sampling circuit is developed to measure a reflected voltage and demagnetizing time of the transformer. It includes a signal-generation circuit to generate a sample signal for sampling the reflected voltage of the transformer. A ramp signal of the sampling circuit is generated in response to the demagnetizing of the transformer. A first reference signal is generated in accordance with the magnitude of the ramp signal after the transformer is fully demagnetized. A second reference signal is generated in response to the ramp signal and a bias signal. The sample signal is enabled in response to the demagnetizing of the transformer. The sample signal is disabled once the second reference signal is higher than the first reference signal. A sample-and-hold circuit is coupled to the transformer to sample the reflected voltage of the transformer in response to the sample signal.

    • A start up circuit of power converters is presented. It includes a first transistor, a resistive device, a second transistor, a third transistor and a diode. The first transistor is coupled to a voltage source. The third transistor is connected in serial with the first transistor to output a supply voltage to a control circuit of the power converter in response to the voltage source. The diode is connected from a transformer winding of the power converter to supply a further supply voltage to the control circuit of the power converter.     • A control circuit is developed to detect a flyback voltage of a transformer of a power converter. The control circuit comprises a switch, a detection circuit and a switching circuit. The switch is coupled to the transformer for switching the transformer. The detection circuit coupled the transformer to detect the flyback voltage for generating a first signal. The switching circuit generates a control signal to control the switch and regulate the output of the power converter in response to the first signal. Because the pulse width of the flyback voltage is short at light load, the detection circuit is designed to produce a bias signal to help the flyback voltage detection. The bias signal is increased in response to the decrease of the discharge time of the transformer. Besides, the switching circuit generates a blanking signal in response to the control signal. The blanking signal ensures a minimum pulse width of the flyback voltage.
