    • PURPOSE:To obtain stable electric connection between a handset and a cradle by devising the handset and the cradle such that 1st and 2nd connector themselves connecting electrically the handset and the cradle are fitted together to hold the handset onto the cradle. CONSTITUTION:When the handset 10 is mounted onto the cradle 11, a latching part is fitted to a recessed part at a reception section 15 and the tip part 21 of a connector 18 is fitted to the recessed part 32 of a connector 14, then the handset 10 is fitted tightly by the cradle 11. The tip part 21 of the connector 18 is shaped as a taper toward its tip and the tip part 21 is fitted accurately to the recessed part 32 of the connector 14. Thus, both the connectors 14, 18 are connected electrically surely. In this case, since both the connectors 14, 18 are positioned relatively by themselves, a problem such that the relative position of both the connectors is dislocated forcibly due to the dislocation of the latch is not generated.

In such a condition, when an incoming call exists, the receiving signal from the exchanging antenna 26 provided at the portable device 2 is inputted through the coaxial cable 4 to the exchanging part of the portable radio 1, and demodulated. On the contrary, when the portable radio 1 is brought and used in a place separate from the portable equipment 2, the portable radio 1 is separated from the portable equipment 2, the coaxial cable 4 is also separated, the exchanging antenna 17 of the portable radio 1 is operated to an exchangeable condition, and the outgoing operation or the incoming operation is executed.
