    • PURPOSE:To perform stable counting operation without being affected by variation in the quantity of light by correcting the counted value of electrons according to a correction coefficient found from the quantity of light in an initial state and the quantity of light at the time of measurement. CONSTITUTION:A sample 12 on a sample table 13 is irradiated with specific single-wavelength light from a light source unit 7. A photodetecting element 15 is provided at the position where the light from the light source unit 7 is projected while the sample 12 is not set, and the output of the element 15 is supplied to a light quantity measuring means 16 to detect the quantity of the light from the light source device 7 before measurement. Voltage pulses generated nearby an anode ring 4 with electrons emitted by the sample 12 are amplified by an amplifier 18 and counted by a counting means to find the number of the electrons. An arithmetic means 26 corrects the number N of electrons counted by a counting means 24 according to the quantity of light detected by the light quantity measuring means 16 and a display means 28 displays it.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous information during a patrol without releasing the warning function of the title system by receiving a control signal from the title non contacting type card carried with a watchman and automatically releasing the monitoring function of an accident preventing sensor by a terminal installed in the neighborhood of a warning area when the watchman enters a room in which the accident preventing sensor is installed during the patrol. CONSTITUTION:When the watchman enters the room in which a magnet sensor 12 to detect the opening of a door 10 as the accident preventing sensor is installed during the patrol, a radio transmitter-receiver 18 having a function as the terminal to control the monitoring and the releasing of the monitoring of various accident preventing sensors installed in the entrance of the room, etc., receives the control signal from a non contacting type card 22 carried with the watchman and automatically releases the monitoring function of the sensor 12. Consequently, abnormality is not detected even when the watchman enters the warning area of the sensor 12 during the patrol. On the other hand, in the warning area while the patrol is not executed, the sensor 12 normally maintains its monitoring function and can surely give an alarm when an invader enters the warning area. Thus, a failure that the warning function of the system is lost during the patrol can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the invariably stable counting state of emitted electrons even if the characteristics of a counting rate to an anode voltage varies owing to variation in atmospheric pressure or temperature by adding a voltage which is nearly a half as wide as a Plateau voltage to a discharge start voltage and obtaining the best anode voltage. CONSTITUTION:A voltage pulse outputted every time an electron is emitted by a sample 10 is counted by a counting means 24 through an amplifier 18 to obtain an output indicating a counting rate N, and the output is supplied to an arithmetic means 26. The arithmetic means 26 sets the best anode voltage while single-wavelength light is projected by a light source 9 with a specific reference sample set on a sample table 8 prior to the use of the device. The counting rate N is monitored first while the anode voltage to a high-voltage power source 23 is variable to detect the discharge start voltage. The voltage which is a half as wide as the Plateau voltage corresponding to the height of a quenching voltage for a gas discharging element to be applied to a 1st grating electrode 5 is added to the discharge start voltage and the resulting voltage is set as the best anode voltage for a high-voltage power source 23.
