    • PURPOSE:To prevent the wall surface of a cylindrical mixing chamber from being increased in temperature and to smooth the supply of the air to the mixing chamber, by a method wherein an air feed pipe is coupled to the mixing chamber along the tangential direction of the inner wall surface of the mixing chamber, and a fuel feed pipe is coupled to the mixing chamber in a manner that it is positioned opposite to the air feed pipe. CONSTITUTION:An air feed pipe 23 is coupled to a mixing chamber along the tangential direction of the inner wall surface of a cylindrical mixing chamber 21, and a fuel feed pipe 24 is coupled to the mixing chamber in the tangential direction of the inner wall surface of the mixing chamber positioned opposite to the swirl direction of a vortex generated in the mixing chamber 21 by the virture of the air fed through the air feed pipe 23 in the mixing chamber 21. This causes the air and fuel gas, fed in the mixing chamber 21, to make contact with each other and be mixed at a position where the two central lines of the air feed pipe 23 and the fuel feed pipe 24 cross each other, resulting in reliable ignition by means of an ignitor 25 located to a mixing part, and to start pulse combustion. After ignition, combustion takes place in a combustion chamber 22.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation of a device in a relatively shallow liquid tank, by a method wherein a multitude heat exchanger is disposed under the tail tube of a pulse burner, and exhaust gas delivered from the tail tube of the pulse burner through a decoupler is fed into the multitube heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 12 of a pulse burner is disposed to the one side of a liquid tank 11, and an exhaust cylinder 14, joined with the end part side thereof, is coupled to the one end of a tail tube 16 through a coupling member 15. The other end of the tail tube 16 is coupled to a decoupler 17. The one end of each of plural first tube bodies 18 is coupled to the low end of the decoupler 17. A multitube heat exchanger 19 is formed with a plurality of second tube bodies 22 for heat exchange located in juxtaposition with each other between first and second headers 20 and 21, and is disposed below the tail pipe 16. Further, the one end of an exhaust pipe 23 is coupled to the second reader 21. As noted above, since a device is constituted such that exhaust gas, delivered through the tail tube of the pulse burner by means of the decoupler, is fed into a multitube heat exchanger, each constitution device may be disposed in a compact manner and can be easily installed even in a shallow liquid tank.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled burner capable of detecting the burning condition thereof easily and properly without paying consideration on the heat resistance of a detector and without undergoing restriction on the installation position of the detector. CONSTITUTION:In a combustion chamber 3, air supplied through an air pipe 1 is mixed with a fuel supplied through a gas pipe 4. The gaseous mixture thus produced is exploded by sparks of an ignition plug 8, and pulse combustion is started. Upon this occasion, discrimination between a normal pulse combustion and a continuous combustion. If the continuous combustion is decided, a control part 11 closes an electromagnetic valve 5 to stop the operation. If the normal combustion is decided, the pulse combustion is thereafter continued by a suction operation due to a negative pressure at the time of exhaustion, a fuel absorbing operation and an igniting operation due to heat of a combustion gas partly fed back to the combustion chamber 3 from the tail pipe 7.
