摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and reduce the size by using semiconductors instead of conventional mechanical contacts for a receiving means for setting functions to a gas meter 1 mounting a microcomputer 3-1 which detects a gas flow rate by a sensor 12 and closes a cutoff valve 13 through a transistor(TR) 8 if the flow rate is abnormal. In the lighting-off period, the TRs 5-1, 6-1, and 7-1 are turned off, on, and off and the LED 4-1 becomes to be in a zero-bias state, so that the light transmission signal for function setting which is outputted from the LED 4-2 of a setter 2 can be received. With this light signal, a current flows to the gas meter 1 in the path of the feedback resistor 10-1 of an operational amplifier 9-1, the LED 4-1, and the TR 6-1, and the output voltage of the operational amplifier 9-1 at this time is binarized by a comparator 11-1 and read out by the microcomputer 3-1.
